Firefox tells me to close program because Firefox is already running. When I close Firefox then re-open Firefox: same message. When I check Firefox in Task Manager, there are anywhere from 6 instances of FF running and sometimes up to 24. Something needs fixed.

External links from other applications will be rejected with this message if firefox.exe was started with the -no-remote command line parameter.

It also appears if you quit Firefox and try to re-open it too quickly before it has had time to completely shutdown in the background.
