Error getting AOL pop mail after update to TB 91.3.2

After updating from 91.2.x to 91.3.2 an AOL pop account got the STAT command not succeeding error shown in the attached screenshot.

Windows 10 Home 20H2.

I had to use the ad ridden aol.com/mail site to get my current new mail. I was able to retrieve the new messages later in the day.

go to account settings and ensure the connection method is set to oAuth2.0
