Thunderbird not connecting
Currently using Thunderbird 91.3, on Windows 10. Today I went to get my emails and every single account returns the same thing: connection to server pop.gmail.com was reset. I read that a dns flush helps so i have just done that and it hasn't had any effect. I rebooted my dongle and that has had no effect. I can't figure out why this error message would suddenly appear? Can anyone help?

is your authentication method set to oAuth? I understand from other posts in this forum Google have deprecated other methods of authentication in recent weeks.
All that does is go to a box when I try to connect with Thunderbird. The box has my email address in so I click and it opens the same box again to input my email address, I enter it and submit and it goes again to the same box....it's just stuck in a never ending loop.
Hmm it seems as though google is demanding an app password even though one was already set up
As it happens it seems Gmail was down and that was the problem
