page refreshes and loses information

When filling out online forms sometimes I need to check information on another app or when checking out of online purchase I need to go to my banking app to allow the purchase, whenever I go to another app or the screen locks when I go back to firefox the page has done refresh which in most instances, especially online forms, means I either get a timed out message or I am brought back to the beginning screen with all information I entered erased. For some online purchases I am never able to complete the transaction because I am sent back to beginning of the form everytime I approve the transaction in banking app. Any solutions?
