When I hit Firefox icon, I get a gray page with message - Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xhtml Line Number 741, Column 15: There is no way to close this window without shutting down the computer so trying to reload Firefox doesn't work because it tells me to close down Firefox. I have read the info given to others with similar problems. When I go to Programs - there is a long list of things listed under Moxilla Firefox. None giving a name similar to what has been given to others to use. I really need help. I am not computer savvy. This is possibly related to update by Microsoft, but not sure. This whole process has made it so I can't even get into my Outlook email, they want me sign up as new. I wish I could talk to someone on the phone, but I know the problem of those offering help for a big price.

'chrome' is part of the internal workings of the browser. It is not the chrome browser.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I solved the problem. Did some search engine research. Found out how to completely uninstall Firefox and then downloaded Firefox again. Everything came back. Yeah!! It was mentioned in several article that the latest update has some problems.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems.
