Gmail push notifications (for login) and Firefox issues

more options

I'm currently running v77.0.1

My problem is with Gmails push notifications, when I log into Gmail, it sends a push notification to my Android phone. I click Yes, but the page never updates to take me to my gmail account. It just stays on the 2-step verification page. I can select "Try another way" and have it send me a text and that works.

If I then use Edge, I get get more options on the 2-step verification page (e.g. I can have it send a text to my phone, my wife's phone, etc.). If I let it send a push notification to my phone, when I click Yes, it then takes me to my Gmail account.

Any ideas why I can tweak in FF to make this work right? I'm not going back to Chrome and really don't want to use Edge for anything (but do use it as a last resort).

Thanks,

Andy
