why doesn't find/search work after the latest update?
I can no longer find words on a webpage. I do control-f and enter a search term, but Firefox always shows that the term isn't found on the page, whether or not it actually is found.

This works just fine for me, perhaps try starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
Watch out for the Match Case button. Every now and then I get that turned on by accident.
If you notice this problem only on particular pages, do you want to share a URL or two, assuming it's a public site with no logon required? Perhaps there is some "worst case scenario" going on there.
(One issue I think I've seen is that find may not find currently non-visible matches in an HTML "canvas".)

Glad you found it. Maybe the background on the button should be red for easier spotting.
