I thought Firefox is a search engine. Why is it when I search in Firefox it shows Google as the search engine?

Firefox itself for iOS, Android, and desktop Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux is a web browser.
Mozilla the company that makes the Firefox applications do not have their own search engine like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc does.
