I ran chkdsk and it deleted my inbox leaving all folders. I see a file named inbox.sbd last used a few days ago. Is there any way to restore from here.
I came into office this morning to Tbird not working correctly in accounting. "There's an issue downloading the message; might contain a virus or you don't have space, do you want to skip?" and "Unable to write the email to mail box. Make sure file system allows you write privileges and you have enough disc space to copy to mailbox." After problem shooting for a few hours and backing up Quickbooks and all important files (sans my Tbird profile from %appdata%!!) I decided to run chkdsk. So now the main inbox has gone poof, yes emails still on the server populate and I have all my subfolders. My question is regarding is there any way to get it back. In my local folders I see the normal inbox and inbox.sbd thats dated a few days ago wondering what this is and if it can help. Please help!

Most likely, unless you have backup files (routine required while T-Bird is closed from Profiles) your out of luck and the emails are lost.
Absence of BU procedures is a hard learned lesson.

I know these are the subfolder. I'm reaching here. But anything will help!
Might I also add this user used her inbox to store important emails from the last two years. I'm 99.9% sure there's no going back as the inbox has been re written over after being deleted from running ChkDsk. Also wondering how inbox becomes corrupt in the first place would it be cause by an infected email.

Thank you @Wilderness. Hard learned lesson that will NEVER happen again. Not all hope is gone I have all emails being fwded to another account just a bit more work than I wanted.

Been doing monthly BU's for twenty years.
Last year when I switched to T-Bird continued using OE procedures. WRONG! T-Brid BU of profiles requires that T-Brid be closed (I'd been doing T-Bird BU's for eight months that were useless and contained zilch.)
Wilderness,
Thank you. Will make sure to note that. I've learned so much about TBird from trial and error. It looks like the computer was forced shut down improperly more than TBird was affected ie. Quickbooks and Skype.
Running ChkDsk escalated my issues however fixing the initial email/mailbox problem.
