Since the update to firefox 11/15/17, it now freezes when I allow Adobe Flash.

Since the Firefox update today, when I try to play a game after allow/remember Adobe Flash, it will freeze my browser (Windows 10 desktop). The website will load, the games will load, the games will start, but 10-20 seconds into the game the screen will freeze. All I can do is restart my computer. It's the current version of Adobe. Is there anyway I can go back to the prior version of Firefox?

The link to "test Adobe Flash" just takes me to the Adobe Flash Player home page. I looked all over for a way to "test", didn't see anything. Went thru their Help page, it's just a basic help page to see if you have Flash installed and it's current.

Thank you for the links, but I'm not going to spend all day(s) trying to find a needle in a haystack as to why this new update now doesn't work with Flash. Flash is pretty commonly used, so it seems like someone at Mozilla would have made sure this update was compatible.

Can you just tell me if there's a way to go back to the prior version of Firefox? I hate internet explorer, but I need a browser that doesn't keep freezing.

Hello, try Firefox 52 ESR which will be supported with Security Updates until May 2018, you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/

Actually, no it didn't solve the problem. After I installed the suggested version of Firefox, it worked for about ten minutes. Which is ten minutes longer than before, but still. I've tried multiple times since then, with similiar results; it will work for anywhere between one and ten minutes, then just stop. Not crash. Just goes stop/go blank. I would've come back sooner to post this but I've been too irritated about the whole thing. So back to my original question - the latest verson of firefox doesn't allow flash to work, the version that was suggested doesn't really do any better (and massively slowed down my computer), so what now? All I really want is the version I had. That's all.

i don't remember where i found it - someone had asked a question about previous releases, and i did some digging - but i found a link to firefox 56.0.2, which runs adobe flash quite happily... if i could remember where the information was, i'd add it, but previous versions ARE available, depending on how far back you want to go, and your hardware.

hope this helps, good luck to you.
