I have noticed that small images have now started to load in thunderbird and since then my spam mail has increased quite significantly. I want to know how to stop ALL images loading in thunderbird. Not just large ones or over a certain size. I have checked my options and I don't have the box ticked in allow remote content to load. I have no exceptions. No images should be loading so why are these small spam images getting through and how do I stop it?

See that option is says "remote" images that arrive as a part of the email are displayed. They are already on our computer they came as a part of the email. Remote images are blocked for security reasons.

displaying an email image is no more risky than displaying an image in your my pictures folder.

If you did a little research you would be aware that images in SPAM are a common practice to bypass text based spam filters such as the one Thnderbird uses.

Interesting, you seem to understand the problem but don't offer a solution? Maybe your comment will be more helpful to those who are trying to be helpful to me.

Interestingly you appear not to comprehend what I said, so I will use the short blunt version.

'"You can not block all images as a matter of course in HTML mail" If that is not helpful, I do not care, factual however it is.
