I keep Firefox updated automatically, including plug-ins, and haven't any malware on my computer. For the last two or so weeks, sometimes Firefox will gobble my disk space usage to 100%. I have to use Task Manager to restart it, and frankly I'm starting to get tired of it.

Updating Malwarebytes and Super AntiSpyware to run scans, but in the event that doesn't do anything, what else would you suggest? I've been using IObit's Smart Defrag 4 frequently to do some serious defragging, but don't believe that could be the source.

Thanks for any help.

First, let's do a clean re-install of Firefox.

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Look for, and rename any Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Leave your Profiles alone.

After rebooting the computer, then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD Firefox Program folders when you are done.
