Adobe acrobat reader always shows needed update, but there is none
When I run a check of my add-ons, I always get a message to update Adobe acrobat reader, but there is no update available

Adobe for some reason doesn't always put the latest version of Adobe Reader on its download page. I suggest using the internal update checker within Adobe Reader DC:
Help > Check for Updates
And/or you can use this page for reference:

This is a known issue with the update checker. If the programs web site says you are up to date, then you are fine. Don’t worry.
