When I try to open Facebook on Firefox it is a jumble of screens and now I can't log off so it is always open - in a scrambled way, but, you can still see some details.

I want to be able to log off Facebook in Firefox.

Hey,

You can try to Clear Now the Cache, Cookies, and Site Preferences with Time range to clear set to Everything via Tools (Alt + T) > Clear Recent History and check. Still the problem occurs you can go for the reset of the FF. The steps will help you in resetting your FF

Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
   Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
