I use a macbook pro....blue spinning wheel whenever I use facebook started a few days ago, app works but spinning is annoying

There is nothing wrong with my computer. Facebook works in all other browsers without this problem. Whenever I load Facebook, the page loads fine and is perfectly functional. However, if I click on a notification, the cursor adds a spinning blue ball...the notification page loads fine and doesn't really affect the site's functionality, but is just really annoying. It will not go away no matter what, unless I reload the page. Again, it is really annoying. I do not have this problem with any other browsers or apps. I will be switching to Chrome as default for Facebook if I don't have this resolved soon....REALLY REALLY ANNOYING.

Hi pablo123, This was one of the issues that we fixed right before the 39 release. Please update your Firefox and make sure that you are still not seeing this.

This should have been fixed by Facebook.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
