Can I install Thunderbird in a multi-user system & share inboxes?
If each user on my home network has a copy of Thunderbird and we share one address book and one set of inboxes, sent folders, etc, what happens if we Write to one of them at the same time ?

Have you identified a system for doing this?
Thunderbird isn't designed for multiple access. It even has a lock mechanism to prevent it.
