I am having issues since copying to windows 8.1... hangs on delete and not all messages are there? Please help

HELP...I used mozbackup to move from win 7 to new computer win8.1 since all kinds of issues, most I have resolved but many remain. I use this for work and it is impossible! Here is what happens; 1. Tbird hangs on delete, usually when I don't show remote content or have just responded to an email. 2. not all my messages are there -- in the sent folder and the trash folder. -- I am currently on 30.0 Beta hoping that would fix it but it did not. -- Only using windows defender so no firewall issues.

1. New device these days means a good chance you get McAfee with it for free. Remove McAfee and most Thunderbird issues will go away.

2. Right click the folders, select properties and then repair.

The first thing I did was remove McAfee, I tried repairing folders already. More suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
