Hello I wish to send an email with a large attachment, and it suggests that I use Filelink. I have referred to the instructions, but just do not understand them. Is there a simple explanation as to how I can add Filelink, please? Colin

Thunderbird not displaying all new emails in the inbox. New emals are downloaded and visible in all other folders.

Problem started 2 days ago.

Checking on my cellphone using Google chrome on my webmail account new emails are shown.

If I quit Thunderbird and restart the new emails now show in the inbox.

What needs to be done to get All new emails showing up in my Thunderbird Inbox?

When recipients receive emails from me it includes all kinds of gibberish. I'm sure it serves a purpose or provides security, but how can I get rid of it so that the messages just show who the email is being sent to and who is sending it and the message and any attachments, without all the other material?

Here is an example of what a sent email looks like and sometimes it is even longer?

When I am using UNIFIED Inbox in Thunderbird and I use the MOVE TO button at the top it successfully moves the message BUT after the move the MOVE TO button is greyed out and not selectable, so I can not use it again to move another email message to a folder.

Then I have to use the less efficient file menu "Message -> Move to" which works and then when the move is done, mysteriously the MOVE TO button UN-greys and is available for the 3rd message to be moved.

When I do the same thing in any "normal" inbox it does not exhibit this behavior.

Any help is appreciated in fixing this bug.

Set up email list per instructions but get this message error .....TBBIGroup <TbbiGroup> is not a valid email address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the email

What did I fail to do?

Starting yesterday 4-3-2025 my Thunderbird email keeps locking up and saying it is not responding. I can close it and open it and then work with it for 2 or 3 minutes and it will start not responding again. This is a consistent problem the last few days. I did check and it said there was an automatic update on 4-2-25. I am not sure if this had anything to do with it but i did go in and request an update about 2 hours ago today. This has not helped as I still consistentaly get the not responding problem. Please advise what I can do to fix this.

I asked this before but still it's not working.

Sometimes E-Mails shown in Thunderbird are missing 50% of the content (first 50%). Today 2 E-Mails got mixed up. So Thunderbird showed 2 E-Mails with the same content but different Subjects. So 1 was wrong. When I logged into my E-Mail Account then it was all ok there. So it must be a Thunderbird Problem or Server-IMAP Problem.

The Question is: How can I tell Thunderbird to re-download this email ?

I was told here this before: "right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button. Does that fix it?" Yes that does solve it but this mixes up the view in Thunderbird (columns are resetted), I don't want that.

Is there any way to re-download a specific email ? I really wonder why such a professionel e-mail program lacks such simple function.

Dear Sirs, When I move emails that I have sent or received normally to a local folder, I am unable to see the contents of the email at all, and I can no longer move the email back to the inbox to check. I would appreciate some advice on the cause and solution.

Our emails suddenly stopped downloading on to thunderbird on Friday 3rd April. The final one being at 17.31. We have been in touch with our broadband provider who say they are unable to help us and it is an issue with thunderbird. We haven't done anything to cause this to happen, they just stopped. Can you help us please.

I got a new PC with Windows 11. I installed Thunderbird, activated the private calendar, and entered events there. For events with a reminder that have a specific duration (e.g., Wednesday from 10 AM to 11 AM), I receive notifications. However, when I create a full-day event and want to be reminded, for example, 1 day before, I don't receive any notification. Additionally, events with a reminder are not shown in bold in the calendar overview (whether they have a specific duration or are all-day events). Can you please help me?

Until about a month ago, this was working perfectly: whenever I would delete an email message on my cell phone that action would be passed along automatically and update my Thunderbird desktop account.

And now it isn't working any more. So I have to delete unwanted messages twice. And I get a lot of messages.

Please tell me if you know of any system changes that may have cause this setup to stop working, and if possible, how I might restore this key functionality. Thanks!

Some messages do not appear in Inbox, and can not found by Filter (Ctrl-Shift-k). However, when I use Search (Ctrl - k): 1) They are found and 2) the Location is given as ... Inbox. These are recent messages.

How do I know they are there? I occasionally use a Webmail interface to access the account that Thunderbird is linked to and all messages are there. Also, when I get chided by others for not responding to their emails, I go looking.

I have tried Properties | Repair Folder on the Inbox.

Account | Synchronization and Storage settings are:

    Keep messages in All Folders on this Computer
    Synchronize all messages locally regardless of age 
    Don't delete any messages
    Always keep starred messages

Can Thunderbird provide a function to copy and paste a table or text as an image when editing an email, so that the recipient can directly view the content of the image.

Nedajú sa mi vytlačiť prílohy v .pdf priamo zo správy, z tlačiarne vychádza len prázdny papier. Ak správu uložim inde, napr. na plochu, tak ju vytlačí. Mám W11, donedávna to fungovalo. Attachments to a message will not be printed directly from Thunderbird. For example, a message in PDF format after being read with PDF reader.

I am on a macbook pro using a Logic MX MCHNCL Keyboard and it worked fine in all applications until a few days ago, when I returned to my desk after lunch, in 128.9.1esr (64-bit) Thunderbird (latest version) the space bar seized to work and instead the composition window would highlight in blue. I am able to produce a space between words by holding down the option key while hitting the space bar. Keyboard works fine in most other apps.

While on a website using Firefox, in one online form the subject line field also did not respond to my space bar but pressing down the opton key made it work, just like in Thunderbird.

Maybe it would help if I went back to the former version and avoiding using 128.9.1esr (64-bit)

Anyone having a fix for this?

TB 128.9.1 Close tabs are missing. In previous versions, when pages opened, a tab was displayed at the bottom of the window. When opening and reading several messages, several open tabs would appear. Okay. In previous versions, right-clicking the mouse on a tab would open a context menu and include an option to close tabs to the right. That option is now missing.
