I cannot log in to Thunderbird because I don't remember my password. I'm having a problem changing my password, not getting any options, no screens to replace it.

All of a sudden when I go to check email it wants a password and I didn't know I had one. When I put one in it won't take it. How do I get in to check email. I'd have you email the answer but I won't get it because I can't open it.

I need to reset my primary password but previous advice on the topic is confusing. One responds recommends deleting the key4.db file but I am concerned about deleting a file which caries a message that doing sop may impact on the operation of the program. Can someone give me a clear response of what I need to do. Cheers David

We have bought a new computer so we have Windows 11.

We downloaded Thunderbird and tried to sign in to allow us to use our Email 

judy.parnell@bigpond.com on it. It asked us for my full name and password and kept saying we had it wrong. We have forgotten which password we used and who's name we used. The email is for both of us. Can you provide us with our name and password we used so we can install it on the new computer or if not tell us how we can install it without the name and password. My email was no longer showing up on my IPhone. I contacted AOL and after an hour and 40 minutes with them, they finally accessed my email through Chrome, but now my email is not showing up on Thunderbird. The password we have on file is not correct. They said I need to contact you to change the password, and then they can assist me in straightening this out.

The computer i use crashed. I would like to access recent emails on another computer. I installed Thunderbird on another computer that I have used before and only get emails from a long time ago. I tried entering my password, but keep getting an error message. When I try to reset the password, I still get the error message

When I try to install Thunderbird on new computer it recognizes my email and asks for a password. I have forgotten my password. I don't see a "reset password" or "forgot password" option. Please help.

I am trying to comission a new laptop and am frozen out of my email and my mail internet supplier: I have forgotten my log in details for my ISP I cant change my ISP oassword because I can't receive the change email instruction

Bonjour je possède un compte thunderbird sur lequel je reçois les messages personnels et j'ai rféée 3 adresses, ne pour mon épouse et 2 pour mes enfants. Le problème c'est quez je ne retrouve pas le mot de passe pour le compte de mon épouse, ce qui fait qu'elle ne reçoit plus les messages sur Thunderbird et elle est obligée de se connecter sur son compte Orange. Elle perd ainsi beaucoup de temps ainsi que les facilités associées à votre application. De plus je n'arrive pas à modifier son mot de passe. Comment puis je faire ? Pouvez-vous m'aider ? Hello, I have a Thunderbird account where I receive personal messages, and I've referenced three addresses: one for my wife and two for my children. The problem is that I can't find the password for my wife's account, which means she no longer receives messages on Thunderbird and is forced to log in to her Orange account. This wastes a lot of time and the convenience of your application. Furthermore, I can't change her password. What can I do? Can you help me? Thank you.

My primary password is not being accepted. Is there any way to create a new one? I have the instructions Reset your Primary Password if you have forgotten it. I do not understand how to copy text and paste y the Console

アカウントを一度ログアウトしてしまい、ログインしようとしたところパスワードがわからない状態です。

試したログイン方法は、サンダーバードのアプリを開き、新しいアカウント(N)→メール(E)から必要事項を入力。 パスワードを求められた画面で、わからなくなってしまった場合のボタンなどが無く、ログインが出来なくなってしまいました。

そもそもログイン方法が違うのでしょうか？

パスワード変更について調べると、 設定→プライバシーとセキュリティ→保存されているパスワードからという方法が出てきましたが、中には何も保存されていませんでした、(これはログアウト状態だから見れないのでしょうか？)

なにか別の方法で、パスワードを変更、もしくは確認する方法をご存じでしたらご教授いただきたいです。

This is a followup to my recent question about unable to login to account. I continued to troubleshoot the issue and noticed for tha first time in the heading of the error message "login to account RoadRunner/TWC' failed. It offers to allow me to enter a new password. I don't think I ever did specifically choose a password. Should I/Can I enter a new password? See uploaded image.
