Hi, I am trying to synchronize all my calendars into Thunderbird. I run a Nextcloud instance containing "native" calendars aswell as calendars synced from ics links. With the TB sync addon, I could sync the native calendars as well as the ics calendars. However with the new native provider this option no longer exists. Is there any way to sync all of them at once instead of getting the individual links? Best Regards

Hi there - I'm hoping someone can help. Following the July 2025 update to Thunderbird, I was suddenly unable to download my email messages into Thunderbird from my Rogers Shaw email account. When I try to do so, I get the error message: "Login to server pop.shaw.ca with username failed. I'm given three options - retry, enter new password (which hasn't changed), or cancel.

Does anyone have any idea what might have changed post update?

My Sent Box is not showing recently sent messages.

I looked up this issue on your help site and it said I should repair the Sent box folder. When I did that, all messages from the Sent box have disappeared.

However, if I open up my email on my iPhone, and select the Sent box, all messages are there and current.

How do I get this corrected.

Thanks,

Hello

Our company uses Office 365 with two-factor authentication. Previously, this worked perfectly with Thunderbird (with IMAP) and TOTP. Now, our IT department has removed this option, as well as authentication via SMS or phone call. The only way to bypass the MS Authenticator app is now with a FIDO2 USB stick. This works perfectly with Firefox, but not with Thunderbird.

When logging in, if I understand correctly, Thunderbird opens its own browser, which doesn't support FIDO2. Is this correct, or is there a workaround I haven't found? And if it is, is there a way to configure Thunderbird to use Firefox (which does support FIDO2) as the browser for logging into Office 365 instead of its own browser? And if that doesn't work either, are there any other ideas? (I use Thunderbird 128.13.0 esr with Debian 12)

I appreciate any feedback that helps me move forward... or, if it doesn't work at all, destroys any hope.

Best regards

Thunderbird does not try to connect to comcast email. It does not even indicate that it is try to connect in the bar at the bottom of the page like it used to and currently does with the google gmail account. I can access my comcast account from my phone and also directly from comcast so there is not a problem with the comcast account. I have tried every fix that is suggested on your help page. The problem started about 4 days ago.

My husband and I have the same e-mail address. His is on an old 2001 platform. Mine was on this platform but in late 2011 my computer didn't like this. I took my computer to a repair shop and the technician installed Thunderbird on my computer. Thunderbird had been working fine until this spring when he was with a friend. While he was surfing the internet, in order to do what he wanted he needed to change the password to our e-mail address. He did this with success. I texted him for the new password. I entered this on my computer and was able to access our e-mail on Thunderbird. About a week later this password did not work. I was able to receive e-mails but was unable to reply to e-mails or send out new e-mails. What do I need to do?

Many thanks!!!

The messages that were left in my Inbox folder overnight have become ghosts. The subject, sender, recipient, and date are shown but none of the messages show any content when clicked on. None of them can be moved, or deleted. This seems to be the same condition for the Junk folder where the one spam message that was left in the folder is also a ghost. All of the attachments in these messages have been downloaded but I still need the messages for the record. Is there some way to make them whole again? Thanks.

P.S. I just restored the Inbox and Junk files from the nightly backup and all of the messages became whole. I still need to determine what may have caused this and how to prevent it. Thanks.

A newer version of Thunderbird may have made changes to your profile which are no longer compatible with this older version. Use this profile only with that newer version, or create a new profile for this installation of Thunderbird. Creating a new profile requires setting up your accounts, calendars and add-ons again.

More information…

THIS NEEDS AN OPTION TO CONTINUE USING OLD PROFILE. YOU JUST MADE THUNDERBIRD USELESS TO ME. DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CREARE A NEW PROFILE. SHOULD NOT NEED TO. CAN NOT START IT AFTER MANY YEARS OF USE. PREFERRED OLD VERSION OF ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO.
