Hello, I am in a dreadful situation.

I needed to format my PC, changing OS from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I have backed up my Mozilla profile just in case, along with other things.

Long story short - my backup failed. I thought that shouldn't be that much of a problem, as there's Firefox Sync. After getting the new OS, logging in to Firefox Accounts, syncing... nothing. It synced with the current state (so brand new browser) and didn't import anything. Bookmarks or history, which are very important to me. Currently, I have no way of retrieving them.

Is there a way to get Firefox Sync to Sync with what was saved some time ago? Literally anything before February 1st will work for me. I am very dependent on my browsers, Chrome synced perfectly fine, Firefox didn't.

I cannot find any relevant information on this topic, is there any chance of getting help here?

Firefox crashes on KYB input

After downloading the latest update this morning in desperation, Firefox crashed on first character of the primary password again and again and again. This time, started new tab, tried to type L into the address line and Firefox crashed AGAIN. Eventually, I have found that if I open a new tab and input a character into the address bar, I get one of three results. a) I input L and an L appears. If that happens, I can go on to use Firefox. b) I input L and get a totally random character appear. Could be S, or £ or $ or something else. In which case, I can't use Firefox. c) Firefox crashes.

Whoa, that sounds really severe. When this happens, is the Mozilla Crash Reporter dialog coming up? If so, you can share your crash reports with Mozilla Support volunteers for feedback on what might be causing that. See: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/firefox-crashes-asking-support

Yes, this is the 6th attempt to start Firefox and keep it going beyond the first keystroke input. I keep restarting till it works. I do not do anything else except restart, then try to input a keystroke. I can copy and paste and all is well till I hit enter or some other keystroke. It sucks and the Firefox team must be getting mad at the crash reports. Taking out all the plugins didn't help, and neither did restart in safe mode. I just keep getting the same problem.

When I hit print, "print preview" comes on and the little spinning doohickie just goes round and round. Is there no one who can tell us how to stop this and print a simple article? It's like Biden, it just spins and spins and does nothing.

I have noticed for some time now that I have an extension in my Firefox extensions that has no name and keeps installing itself, even when I try to uninstall it through the Firefox folder. The extension causes that in my search suggestions when I enter something always other websites come to the surface, or the actually suggested by firefox sites slide down. Some yahoo and amazon sites come up on my search results.

Hi, I am a photographer and use an asset management and editing program called Adobe Lightroom Classic. Another photographer and I have found that when Firefox is running at the same time as Lightroom, the whole computer slows to a stop. Lightroom runs okay alongside other browsers. Firefox runs well at the same time as other editing software including DxO PhotoLab 6 and ON1 Photo Raw

I had this feature integrated into mouse gestures add on which is no more compatible.

When playback starts after a pause, or between songs, the playback window often steals keyboard focus. So if I'm typing in another window, I'm interrupted. Very annoying. It happens on at least youtube, navidrome, and jellyfin.

I've found a few others reporting similar issues that suggest setting `mozilla.widget.raise-on-setfocus` to `false` - but this doesn't work for me. How can I figure out what's triggering this keyboard steal so I can fix it?

I'm using firefox esr 102.7.0esr, but it's been happening for a while. I've tried the debian builds and the official firefox.com builds, same behavior. Thanks for any suggestions.

Camera is on but not working after update. I have not changed any settings.

The weird thing here is that I have not changed any settings whatsoever, and, when I try to use the camera in Chrome it works, as well as in Zoom. Now, when I created a secondary profile in Firefox, it did work there too. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

I can download and install an older version, but investigating the version after the install on Windows 7 reveals that it is NOT the version I downloaded. But is instead the newest version available. I have tried several uninstallers and deleted profiles and strings in the registry but nothing seems to help installing an older version. Can anyone offer some advice?

Need help reverting to Firefox 108. I can install it no problem, but don't understand how to get all my settings back that 109 removed.

Hi All. Love FF but there's one thing that's driving me crazy... the different color of the Library window (see screen grab). The main window is this nice dark "cool gray" color, but the library window is this greenish color.

Is there a way to change that? I've had the userChrome.css file installed and feel fairly comfortable making code edits.

gmail loading issue

It is a struggle to log into gmail. Once I manage to get into gmail and start opening messages, it hangs on loading and eventually I receive an error message such as "Oo… (kàsi)

Once I manage to get into gmail and start opening messages, it hangs on loading and eventually I receive an error message such as "Oops ... the system encountered a problem (#001) or another version is (#2003) and often end up with the message, "The conversation you requested could not be loaded. I have cleared cache and cookies, refreshed the firefox browser, and within my profile I have renamed cookies.sqlite. I don't have an extensions turned on. I also tried about.config to switch the value from true to false for security.tis.enable_0rtt-data. I am working on Windows 10 desk top and I am able to open gmail okay in chrome. I recently switched to Verizon Fios - I don't know if that is related or not. Also opening gmail in private viewing does not change anything and opening it in safe mode has not changed anything. Would anyone have any suggestions?
