I have a fingerprint scanner and a slot for a security key, but I have never used a security key, either in the slot or a USB plugin.

When I try to go to Gmail, I enter my gmail address, and then Firefox pops up a screen wanting me to insert my security key, and there are no buttons to change how I verify my identity.

I've hunted all around for what setting in Firefox is causing it, but no luck so far. Ideas?

Hi, I am working on a website to see changes being made. I clear cache, cookies and temporary files and choose Everything. It is still showing the same data on the page. If I got to MicroSoft Edge, it is showing the updated text on the website page.

I'm using a desktop and Windows 10 latest update. Latest update of Firefox too. It used to work before update.

Would you please help?

Thank you, ToSt

Up until recently Bing Maps in the UK has the option to display Ordnance Suvey Maps and the function to measure distance.

Now, using Firefox, Bing Maps display a Beta version with very limited functionality. Using Microsoft Edge, Bing Maps have all the functionality that I expect.

Has something changed within Firefox that has caused this problem? Is there something that can be done to allow Bing Maps to work correctly from within Firefox?

I am old-school security conscious & have been using FF since its inception. Really. Clear my cache & delete browsing cookies on a regular basis. I use a private window for shopping and q&a info gathering. Recently I saw Walmart.com showing up in my cookies and couldn't figure out how/why as I *only* look at Walmart in a private window. Today I realized Walmart has managed to bypass the private window options and place cookies anyway! To say I'm furious about this is an understatement. I have adjusted my settings to "Strict" but it's still able to bypass the private window and is staying on my computer. I am updated to the most recent FF version; running MacOs Sonoma 14.7.7 which was just recently updated; I'm not going past this one for now but that really shouldn't be the issue. This is most definitely a FF issue and one that needs to be rectified not just because it's Walmart but because if they can do it so can others soon enough. This cannot stand.

When I brought Firefox up about a week ago, it presented me with a survey, results of which were sent to Firefox developers. They asked several multiple choice questions about features, but they didn't ask a very important question: Would you use Firefox more if it used less system memory? I currently use Google Chrome for about 2/3 of my web browsing because Firefox uses up too much system memory. I would prefer to use Firefox most of the time, but can't, since it bogs down when memory usage gets too high.

The survey should have included a text input box so users could enter any comments for the developers, and the survey did NOT do that.

So, after completing the survey, I was disappointed that I couldn't comment on the most important issue I have with Firefox. I would like the Firefox dev team to try get Firefox's use of system memory down. A short while ago, I opened 4 websites in Google Chrome, then opened the exact same 4 websites in Firefox. The attached shows the memory usage of each browser.

I use Firefox as my default browser on two computers running Windows 11 & Linux operating systems.

From a few days ago I can no longer scroll down the entries in LastPass using the mouse on my HP Laptop (Windows 11). I thought it might be a LastPass issue so I tried opening LastPass in the Microsoft Edge browser and the RHS up\down scrolling is working just fine.

Is there some setting in Firefox (or between Firefox and LastPass) which is suddenly preventing me from scrolling up and down the entries). I can still scroll down by using the touch screen, but not using the mouse.

The other thing that drives me crazy is that I cannot permanently change all of the enties in LastPass into a simple list, rather than boxes. Is this anything to do with Firefox or is this a LastPass issue.

When I last updated Firefox, about 2-3 weeks ago, all of my bookmarks, and the bookmark tool bar, disappeared.

I've tried to recover them using the automated forum, but nothing works.

How do I both get the bookmarks tool bar to always be visible and, at least as important recover all of my bookmarks - the ones that were visible on the toolbar, and all the others?

Thanks - I hope.
