i do the following but still get the message java scripts do not work

Mozilla Firefox 45.x and above (PC):

   Please ensure that your copy of Firefox is up to date.
   Click the Firefox drop-down menu or, if using the Menu Bar, continue to Step 2.
   Expand the Help menu and then select About Firefox within it.
   Firefox should now automatically check for updates and prompt you to restart it when finished.
   Once Firefox restarts, JavaScript should be enabled.

Every time I attempt to log into X.com the Firefox browser stops working entirely. Dead. Nothing. Won't open or function. Need to restart my computer to access and use Firefox. This does not happen when I use Chrome.

because of my vision i use the contrast theme feature in win11. it works great except in my firefox browser 152.02. its dropdown menus are not in the contrast theme, therefore they are hard for me to read. is there a fix?

Tell me why they're trying to do this? I'm confused how. Firefox starts about 30 seonds later(Im viewing thru windows 10 filemanager) and stops google. I do not let google or edge start on boot. This only happens from wake after sleep. I believe only 5 or 6 days has this been happening. Any ideas?

Ever since the last update or two when I click on links to open websites, it renders a white screen and I see waiting at the bottom. It takes forever for websites to open. I have toggled acceleration on and off, disabled Windows 11 Efficiency Mode and nothing is working. I am a web developer and I really need websites to open. They open quickly in Chrome but not Firefox after the update and I may need to start using Chrome.

I have Firefox set to NOT update unless I tell it to. However, it still updates on its own without asking me if it should. So every time Firefox updates, I have to close the app and log back in to everything that I was using. Since, I use browser based software for work and need to open and close tabs pretty much all day. Thus, the ability to NOT update is actually fairly crucial to getting my work done.

I have read the Refresh Firefox instructions that appear in the "Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings" Firefox support webpage, including the "saved items" and "removed items" section.

Over time, I have made a number of changes in the "about:config" section of my Firefox browser.

Q: Would a Refresh of my Firefox browser affect any of these "about:config" changes?

Q: Is there a way that I can create a list of all "about:changes" that I have made?

On my wifes PC Firefox appears to be doing random things. First the screen turned pink, then the taskbar icon has a gear-wheel overlaying it, and she is unable to do anything, like logging into zoom. Google searches work but clicking on any link goes nowhere and just sits. Is there a way of returning to it's previous boring but appreciated habit of just working, without uninstalling and re-installing from scratch please? thanks (she is currently using our fallback laptop in her office so I can't access her pc for an hour or so.)

While I tried to connect to the web page "http://eprison.nic.in/npip/public/MyVisitRegistration", I found a reply saying "Firefox can’t connect to the server at eprison.nic.in". Thus, is there any way that I can possibly connect to the web page because I want to pay a VC visit from a distance to my son arrested in Mumbai Central Prison.

I have used FF on my laptop for many years and AVG AntiTrack on it for 1-1/2 yr without issue. However, today I got a message that appears to be from AVG (but also includes the FF logo) that their AntiTrack is disabled and I need to add it to FireFox, with a "Resolve" button and NO way to close the message. How do I know if it is true or an attempt to hack me? Have there been any other reports of this happening to others? TIA, KBoDolphin

Despite having receiving an invite (an email titled-Your Smart Window invitation is waiting) to try the Smart Window, on click, I land on a screen for joining the waitlist.

Wondering if I'm alone facing this or it is just another bug.

For some time now (a few months), whenever I visit Amazon sites, I’ve been noticing a strange phenomenon I’ve never experienced before.

After performing a search, within a few seconds of the selected product’s page opening, it redirects to a different product page.

Usually, it always redirects to the same product page. Very rarely, it might redirect to another similar product page.

What is causing this issue?

This problem doesn’t occur in other browsers.

I really love Firefox’s new Split View feature. The Alt + Click shortcut to create vertical split pages works perfectly and greatly improves my multitasking workflow for side-by-side tab comparison. However, there is currently no native keyboard shortcut to cancel / exit Split View and separate tabs without closing either page. To undo split view, users have to rely entirely on mouse operations: right-click tabs or click the divider menu. This breaks keyboard-first browsing efficiency and creates unnecessary extra clicks every time I finish comparing pages.

Feature Request

Please add a dedicated built-in shortcut to quickly separate tabs and close Split View. A simple key like Esc or a custom combination such as Ctrl+Shift+Alt+X or something would be ideal, matching the convenient Alt+Click way to trigger split view.
