look, i have no idea if this is a bug, but i have been dealing with this for over a month now. i even have tried to use what was suggested, still does it. it all started AFTER i used mozilla sync, now for some reason it forces me out of my accounts every time i try to restart my browser, forces me to log back into them, then does it again if i close out mozilla at any point after to make sure it isn't about to sign me out another time.

it's getting frustrating because i am tired of losing my history, my bookmarks, and my extensions. this is also reaching a point i am considering changing web browsers because it won't fix after trying the suggestion given before of deleting the files.

I've ALL Mac. Desktop, laptop, i-pad, i-phone - oh, and I've got a Lenova for an exercise program that's in the mix. I can't seem to get any syncing done. I see notices that it's happened, but the tabs on none of the devices line up. I also tried syncing with/to/from my iphone. I got you QR Code and had to use the Iphone camera to scan it in. I got a message that I have to do it from within Firefox - but all I can get there is something KROLL. And that's an internet URL/page. I can't find a way to scan the QR code with that app hogging my screen. I've attempted to scroll/dump that tab but when I open up Firefox again...it's still there.

I followed the steps at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sync-bookmarks-tabs-history-and-passwords-android

When scanning the QR code, my phone is stuck on this: https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2025-10-12-17-54-22-6b261a.png While my desktop shows this: https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2025-10-12-17-55-00-1c9ca2.png

When signing in with email on my phone, I get an "Unexpected error": https://assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/media/uploads/images/2025-10-12-17-56-18-5c7b93.png

I've tried everything. I've cleared the app's storage and also re-installing the app. I've removed the old device login from "Connected Services" in https://accounts.firefox.com/settings.

Hi, I’m having trouble keeping my bookmarks in sync between my Windows laptop and Android phone using Firefox Sync.

I’m logged into the same Firefox account on both devices, and Sync is turned on. However, new bookmarks I add on one device don’t appear on the other.

I’ve already tried:

Signing out and back into my Firefox Account

Forcing a manual sync

Checking that both devices have the latest Firefox version

Is there a way to manually trigger a full re-sync or reset the Sync database without losing data? Thanks in advance! 🙏

I have just completed migrating my files and settings from my (not so) old windows 10 desktop computer to my windows 11 laptop. Everything seems to have gone ok, except that the Firefox bookmarks were installed and only work in the private browsing window. When I start Firefox normally, the window that opens does not have the bookmarks, and even if I enter a web address manually in this window, it will not connect. I can choose "New window" in the drop down menu and that window will have the bookmarks, but still will not connect. The only way to get the bookmarks and also be able to connect to the internet is to choose "New private window" from the drop down menu. The problem with that is that there have been occasions when I have had a need to examine my browsing history, which I can't do since Firefox doesn't save the history when in private window mode. I have tried the procedure to sync bookmarks, history, etc., but the procedure is somewhat confusing and didn't work for me. Can you simplify the procedure for me? Thanks, John Blakley

The tabs don't regularly sync between the desktop and Android browsers. I can manually hit the "Sync now" button on either end, and the latest tabs open don't change. Specifically I can't sync tabs opened on the Android browser to the Windows desktop browser. Clicking the button on the desktop browser does something, it switches to "Synching" with a loading throbber, but the tabs don't appear below in the list. Doing it on the android browser does nothing, it still reads "Last Synced 12 Hours Ago" on my android browser, and this is generally the number it says, more or less, whenever I attempt this.

I've tried updating the browser on both devices, and force stopping it on the android device and restarting it based on community recommendations, then reattempting to sync, and neither helped.

Other options suggested copying sessionstore.jsonlz4 from the profile folder on one device to the profile folder on the other device to transfer the open tabs (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1404630), but the guidance to do that doesn't work on Android, as it lacks the menus referred to in those guides. I don't know how to access the session data on Android, nor could I find a guide for it.

Hi I have a firefox account which I use on 2 macs and a PC as well as an android phone. For the past few months non of my book marks, passwords etc are being synced across the system and I have now completely different book marks on different devises. I have synced each computer multiple times without effect. This used to work perfectly before I changed my password a few months back. It is now reaching a point that firefox is no longer usable for me?? Thanks for your help
