I have an existing Thunderbird account on my pc, and I am trying to sign in to it on a second, new pc, to create an account there, but the password is not being recognised? Can you advise what I should do? (BTW - the password I registered on the original account does not seem to be the same pwd I had to use to access this forum???) Help! Mike

An error occurred when writing to the calendar Verjaardagen! Please see below for more information.

If you're seeing this message after snoozing or dismissing a reminder and this is for a calendar you do not want to add or edit events for, you can mark this calendar as read-only to avoid such experience in future. To do so, get to the calendar properties by right-clicking on this calendar in the list in the calendar or task view.

The calendar is marked as read-only because it contains birthday's and reminders cannot be dismissed.

What is the proper way handle a anniversary calender and reminders?

Hello! I just moved to Firefox a week ago and so far, I'm really happy I did. Nearly everything is better. That being said, there's one feature I used all the time on Chrome that I can't get working right here, and that's auto scroll. On Chrome, it worked no problem. When I clicked in the scroll wheel, it turned on auto scroll and would stay enabled until I clicked it again. One Firefox though, this isn't working right. When I click in the wheel here, it enables for a quick second before disabling itself. It's super annoying and makes it unusable. I found out it's because scrolling on the scroll wheel cancels auto scroll on Firefox, but not on chrome. So how do I make it so scrolling on the scroll wheel doesn't break auto scroll? Thanks in advance!

Hi

Up to a few days ago I was able to see "View all memories" from One Drive in Firefox. Not anymore.

I am subscribed to One Drive. Every few days I get an email from One Drive with the past memories from the day of the email. I will open the emails and click on "View all memories" then it would take me to the One Drive and I would be able to see those pictures individually. For a few days now I have not been able to do this on Firefox anymore. The website goes to gray like it is trying to download the pictures but it gets stuck there.

This is happening both on my desktop with Windows 7 and my laptop with Window 11. Everything works in the Microsoft Edge browser. I can see all the images individually from that day.

I have communicated this problem to Microsoft One Drive and it seems to be a browser problem. Is there any way that this problem can be solved in the Firefox browser?

I would appreciate your help, Amy

Have been having an issue for the past month or two where if left in the background firefox will slowly start to eat up my available ram. I was using it like this perfectly fine for years previous to now.

I dont have this issue when I'm actively using it, only when I tab away from it and specifically its not on screen. Once I tab back to firefox the ram usage immediately dips back down to normal. I have tried many things to try and solve this like doing a clean install of firefox, getting rid of extensions, clearing my browser cache, closing all other apps to verify it was just firefox, clearing my history, turning on hardware acceleration. Nothing seems to help, im really at a loss and I don't understand what changed besides it being updated in the past couple of months.

My computer is fairly heavy duty and I have 16gb of ddr4 ram that again was working perfectly fine to run firefox before these past couple of months. As a result of this issue however if left in the background for too long on accident firefox uses up all my idle ram and starts causing other programs to not be able to run and has even crashed my computer previously when trying to run a program like clip studio paint.

I have noticed that while running the firefox task manager there is definitely some difference in memory usage when i tab back in after letting it be in the background so I have attached screenshots of the regular usage while tabbed in and the captured usage when i tab back in.

Any possible solution is welcome because I really enjoy using firefox and i dont want to have to switch browsers unless absolutely necessary.

I find the 4 boxes on the Contrast Control/Manage Colors settings confusing. I've tried just about everything for an issue I've had for months. When I use the automatic settings there is a dark background. Visited links pops up white (readable) and immediately changes to purple so that I can barely see it. This happens on multiple web sites. Amazon and Ebay are examples.

Hello,

I would like Firefox to offer the same usability as Chrome when it comes to pinned tabs and session restoration.

In Chrome, I keep about five tabs pinned and always open. When I start Chrome, all my tabs are there, and it shows the last tab I was using. This is smart and logical because it lets me continue exactly where I left off.

Firefox, on the other hand, always jumps to a new tab on startup, even if I was working on a different pinned tab when I closed the browser.

I can’t even begin to explain how frustrating this is. I often work on multiple screens with multiple browser instances, and this behavior constantly interrupts my workflow. It’s so disruptive that I felt compelled to write this complaint.

Please fix this and allow Firefox to behave in a normal, logical way. Stop forcing a new tab to open every single time on startup, or at least give us a proper option to disable this and restore the session exactly as it was.

You’ve made it easy to import everything from Chrome, but without offering this same basic functionality, Firefox feels incomplete.

Thanks

I'm not sure how to word this correctly, but I'll try. I write into a news site, in their comment section on a regular basis. And for years I've gotten responses from other readers on a very regular basis. In other words.....I read and article, and then I respond in the comment section, (in this case it's Newsmax) and more times than not I get a response from another reader. This has been going on for years. Now all of a sudden I don't get those responses. And I would notice, because more times than not i get angry responses from readers who vehemently disagree with me! I wrote to Newsmax to tell then of this problem....they checked, and found what I needed to do to correct it. I did. It must have been some glitch along the way, to change the way things were.

Anyway....I made the changes necessary, and that mostly had to do with making sure their "no-reply@newsmax.com was added to all of my address books, and wouldn't make their way to my "junk' folder etc. When in fact, while checking my address book and junk folder etc, those missing responses never made their way to those folders. They were nowhere to be found at all. So their other direction was to get in touch with TB and find out from this end what might be wrong! So that's what I'm doing. I miss bantering back and forth with other readers and commenters, but no matter what I do I can't get a response! Any help figuring this out would be more that greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Michael

I filled out a registration form to attend an event. At completing the form I clicked on the "submit" button - nothing. Closed the window repeated filling out the form, clicked on "submit" nothing again, no error statement. I could see the "button" react but nothing.

Shifted to another browser, the one having to do with the end of something. Filled out the form, clicked "submit" got an acknowledgement right away.

Any clues?
