Recently, A new hard drive was installed in my computer. I neglected to plan for that by exporting my address book and calendar. I have installed Thunderbird again and the address book. But I cannot get the calendar data to go into Thunderbird. Even a computer guy who extracted the address book and calendar from the old hard drive can't get the calendar file (local.sqlite) to read. How can I get the file to read into the blank calendar? OR will I have to begin filling in a new calendar?

I semi-accidentally closed all my inactive tabs. All 4799 of them.

I first synced them to pc to sort through them (the mobile browser couldn't open them without crashing).

Turns out, only a tiny selection actually transferred over to PC. I had no idea there were that many tabs open, so I couldn't verify the number that transferred over to pc.

When I closed the inactive tabs, I saw how many I had deleted, and realised I've lost about 90 %.

Is there a way to recover these?

I also wish there was a tab counter on mobile, so I could've dealt with it sooner, before it got out of hand.

My thanks again to sfhowes, Rick and others for assisting me to get back my ability to once again send e-mails from Thunderbird. Now for the next step.

Just days ago, I migrated my years of Thunderbird e-mails on a POP protocol to IMAP. Before doing so and before also uninstalling my old Thunderbird because of e-mail sending problems and then reinstalling a new version, I saved a profile. Now with the most current version of Thunderbird, I lost (i)a decades worth of saved inbox e-mails (but for the last 2 years), (ii)I lost all of my sent e-mails but a few odd ones, (iii)I lost my archived e-mails in Local Folders and (iv) I lost all of my contacts and saved group e-mail address lists.

My profile is saved on an external hard drive. Obviously the new installed version of Thunderbird must have somehow found the last 2 years of my inbox e-mails but nothing beyond that as mentioned above. Can you share please a recommended procedure where I can better import what I assume I saved correct on the profile I saved twice (I saved a master folder named Profile and separately saved 4 folders - 2 folders ending in default and 2 ending in default-release. I have a problem. At the moment I am running a Firefox version 143 on Linux with different windows. At the top left you can then select which windows you want to use. Only now it has disappeared. You get a home page. I have tried several solutions. Anyway, how do you get the rest back? Thanks.

Since 5.18.2025 I get a "no message found" in my sent folders and other folders. "Find" will still find the messages and they can be opened, but I can't get the email folders to display. I know they are still there. Version 128.10.2esr. How can I get them to display in the folders?

I have read the already published solutions to this problem. They do NOT work. Here is the situation:

Toolbars checked, as in turned on, in the View-Toolbars box: Composition, Formatting, Status toolbars.

On the Composition screen to compose an email, there is no Send button. Only a Send Later button along with the remaining buttons. I followed the instructions in the already published solution and clicked "Customize" in the View - Toolbars box. The remaining buttons appear in a larger grey box. There is no Send button in this box of choices. I click Restore Default Set and nothing changes. A Send button does not appear in the box of dragable buttons.

Unfortunately, there is no other help available for this problem.

Hello, I imported Bookmarks when I came to Firefox from a previous browser. The experience was terrible and challenges still linger. Firefox has come a long way, however UX still seems to be a 2nd class citizen. Bookmarks now has somewhat duplicate directories and this in turn is causing desktop/phone sync doubt and is likely missing bookmarks.

When sync breaks, it is so confusing. How can I simply have a working Bookmarks sync on desktop/phone?

Perhaps there was a challenge when I need Bookmarks to appear in the top bar when a new Tab is opened, as this was contrary to default Firefox settings.

after this last update, all my bookmarks are gone, I read the restore article and did everything, but the profile folder is empty, I do have an external harddrive that I use to back up every week, but I don't know how to use it to restore the bookmarks

I can't delete emails, or at least I can only delete one after starting thunderbird, all subsequent attempts do nothing, with no obvious error messages. I have tried deleting the trash folders to no avail. This is a new migration from another machine, not sure when the problem started, possibly immediately but went unnoticed? Failing an easier answer I could simply uninstall and migrate the profile again from the other machine.
