DL the latest version of T bird to HP Windows 10 but will not install. It says I need to restart my compter before install can be completed. Help!!!

I migrated files and applications to my new pc with Windows 10 but Thunderbird didn't migrate. I went out and downloaded the latest version and started installation. Upon install I get a message; "Your computer must be restarted to complete a previous uninstall of Thunderbird. Do you want to reboot now" The options are Yes or No. I have chosen both options. Choosing the No option the install window closes. I select Yes and the computer reboots and I have to start over again with the same results, No install. Can you help me with getting Thunderbird Email Client on my new PC.
