Mozilla Monitor Plus will shut down on December 17. This means the data broker scan and automated removal service will no longer be available. Mozilla Monitor’s free monitoring service will continue to provide real-time alerts and step-by-step guides to mitigate the risks of a data breach. We’ve also added the ability for all users to monitor up to 20 email addresses. We know this change may cause concern, and we’re committed to keeping you informed and ensuring your data remains secure.
Why is Monitor Plus shutting down?
As part of our ongoing efforts to advance Mozilla’s mission of ensuring people are empowered, safe, and independent online, we’re refocusing our resources on other privacy and security initiatives. This shift will allow us to better serve our users and continue developing tools that have the greatest impact in helping people protect their digital lives.
