Except where noted, everything here applies to both Firefox 96 and the Firefox 91.5 ESR.

Bug Fixes

• The fix for downloading files to mapped network drives (bug 1731049) is now in the Firefox 91.5 ESR.

• The Windows SSO option in settings is no longer displayed on versions of Windows where it isn't supported.

Policies

• When using the AutoLaunchProtocolsFromOrigins policy, errors were not properly displayed. This was fixed in bug 1737605.

• The SearchEngines | Add policy now properly updates engines when any attribute is changed. This was fixed in bug 1481946.

• SuggestURLTemplate in the SearchEngines | Add policy didn't work correctly. This was fixed in bug 1730218.

• Firefox will now enforce the Cookie Policy: Same-Site=lax by default. There are two new policies that modify this behavior: LegacySameSiteCookieBehaviorEnabled and LegacySameSiteCookieBehaviorEnabledForDomainList.
