Restore bookmarks to address bar menu?

In the new version of Firefox for Android, the bookmarks are gone from the address bar menu. They are now in a separate menu which is really, really unhandy. When I browse the web on my phone, I used to be able to just tap the address bar and navigate through my bookmarks from there (usually on a daily routine, one by one). That is not possible anymore and really annoying.

Is there any way to restore the bookmarks to the address bar menu?

Also, I might make a separate topic or bug report for this, but I'd like to always show the address bar and not have it hidden. Especially since on some sites it makes the site jump because the address bar pops up at random. Really annoying to read like this.

Hi

You can access your bookmarks by tapping the menu button and selecting Bookmarks. Also when you serach, the search options will also flag up bookmarks that meet your search criteria. You can change this and other search settings in the menu by selecting Settings and Search and scrolling to the bottom part of the screen.

I hope this helps.

No it doesn't really help. I'm aware where they are now, which is in a really inconvenient spot. Like I said, I used to be able to just tap the address bar and navigate through my bookmarks from there and now I have to press a small button and press another small button to go into another, extra menu (as opposed to the instant menu in the address bar).

And searching bookmarks, by typing, is something I definitely not plan to do when it used to be so easy (tap & load).

You have gutted my favorite browser and I have deleted it and moved on to another browser. Sad choice because I've been using it for years and years.

- No more easy navigation through my favorites (multiple times a day). - Jumping sites due to that ridiculous address bar which you can't set to always show. - Bookmarks always open in a new tab so at the end of the day I have like 40 tabs because I cycle through my bookmarks through out the day. - About:config gone. - Most addons not ready. - Little customization.

Why do you make these design choices? Especially the bookmarks?? Is it part of your Google deal that no other content can be shown there? So annoyed right now.

You have to add these daily bookmarks to a collection, your access will be much easier.

Thanks for your suggestion but collections are just silly. Having bookmarks to add them to a collection. Why not just plain old bookmarks accessible in an easy way like before? But I've tinkered around with it, and collections only seem available on new tabs? So that means:

- Tap tabs - Tap new tab - Tap collapse collections so you'll be able to see your collections (it's not collapsed open by default and it doesn't stay open after you opened them) - Tap preferred site

That doesn't seem particular easy to me.

v79 is a mess.... When trying navigate to another, I am presented with a blank page. Where is the ease of access in the previous version where i able to access my Bookmarks, Home (Top sites), and History? Even there is collections added to the new version, it seems like it is only accessible through new tab page.
