All of a sudden, one of my friend's messages do not appear in my inbox. Instead, they automatically go to my trash folder. I have not put any filters of any kind on his e-mail address.

Can you please help me to fix this and tell me what to do?

Thanx.

Jim

What mail provider? Have you entered the address in their web mail as a contact? Does your anti virus program have a spam filter (they are mostly trouble with a capital T) Have you read the information here http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls

Matt:

Thanks for your info. My friend's email provider is aol. I do have his address in my address book as a contact. I do not believe that my anti-virus program is filtering these messages as spam inasmuch as I receive a lot of spam mail that is not filtered out. I looked at the info at the link you provided, however, I am not that computer literate and I am unable to understand everything discussed at that link.

Thanks for your input.

Matt:

Based upon the info you provided, I played around with my e-mail a little bit more. I was able to fix the junk mail filter such that it allowed me to receive messages from everyone in my address book. That was not selected properly by me.

Now that I have done that, the problem seems to have been solved. My friend e-mailed me a test message, and it came through just fine.

Thanks a million for your help. Without your suggestions, I would not have been able to come up with the solution!

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me in an effort to help - which you did!
