I have changed Thunderbird E-mail account from IMAP to POP3. My question is, How do I get all my E-mail folders from the IMAP into the new POP3 account. Nothing followed the changed accounts formats.

Prelude: Monitor specs matter: Samsung Odyssey G93SC [Monitor] 1194.7 × 365 × 180.8 mm (approx. 47 × 14.4 × 7.1 inches) on a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 [Display adapter] Display is 5120 x 1440 (recommended) Scale = 100% ISSUE: Fonts in Thunderbird size varies from readable to very hard to read.

Some Fonts in different Thunderbird 'panes' are unreadable without zooming in. The {body} of a reply is very small (see font-size-body--Rev3-07-19-2026_01.jpg below) The image will show the cursor at top left of Body.

I did search here but nothing of this nature it. So here is my question:

QUESTION: Is there a way to edit a config file or the likes to set fonts to be responsive (like a web site is same in any size screen and compensates for size?

It was working fine on the new computer until yesterday. Now I get a pop-up box that says: ' Unable to connect The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure Thunderbird is permitted to access the web.

I successfully linked / synced the thunderbird calendar with the iCloud calendar. Calendar entries manually entered in iCloud or iPhone calendar are successfully synced and are visible in the thunderbird mail. The other way round, syncing the existing entries in the Thunderbird calendar does not work. They do not appear in the iCloud or iPhone calendar. Searching the internet, the specific Thunderbird or Apple help-sites did not provide an obvious solution for this problem. I went through all (or nearly all) recommendations given by Apple, no success to sync from Thunderbird to iCloud.

Any suggestion what to modify or adjust

Within the past day or so, which means 7-18-26 or later, some of my email messages on thunderbird for my pc have a "From" description that is not correct. I look at the messages, and the "From" is entirely different than the "From" description when looking at the email message list. I have never encountered this problem before. I'm using thunderbird 152.0.1 64-bit on my pc.

I get hundreds of emails a day, so setting an alert for incoming mail is not practical. Is there any way to set an alert for specific senders whose emails need to be res[ponded to promptly? I am not at the computer all the time.

Probably related to a Microsoft update, Thunderbird started asking for the password of my internet provider almost daily several weeks ago when sending or receiving messages. I am on Windows 11 and that is up to date.

The Inbox on my Thunderbird emails shows 224 messages but do not open. I have tried opening and deleting but to no avail.

IMPORTANTLY I am still receiving new emails.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years. I just got a new computer and installed Thunderbird onto it. I have several email accounts for personal, business and clubs so this makes it easy to keep track of. I have some gmail accounts and 3 different yahoo accounts. Now when I get an email to one yahoo account it prorogates to the other two. This never happened on the old computer do you have any idea how this happened, and more importantly, how do I stop it?

I have an Thunderbird email account both my wife and I use on phones, tablets and PCs. We use imap on phones and tablets, and pop3 on PCs. Occasionally when downloading the email to the PCs the download stops on a specific email and will go no further. All 3 PCs stop at the same email. IMAP can see the email that haven't downloaded, and if I delete with IMAP the email after the successful downloaded email, the pop3 Clients can download the remaining email on the server. This has happened several times and I don't see anything especially weird about the offending email. Usually some small graphics but no large attachment or anything odd? Any ideas as to what is going on?Version 140.12.1esr

Home Mozilla Thunderbird (Not Responding) is all I see on the screen.

I have rebooted, reinstalled and still cannot get Thunderbird to start. I have not touched the C:/Users/.../AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird data (where I assume the problem is).

Ended up building a small add-on myself since nothing else out there worked anymore. It makes every global search open directly as a list, no more clicking "Show results as list" every time.

Free, open source, no data collection. Can't be listed on addons.thunderbird.net right now (Mozilla's paused reviewing new add-ons that use Experiment APIs), so it's a manual install for now. Apparently this is getting built into Thunderbird natively from version 154 (bug 580252), so this is really just a bridge until then.

I set up a new email and must have done something wrong. I'm getting this message: he STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.

What do I do?

I reinstalled Thunderbird and now it tries to access my gmail account even though I didn't add it. I only use gmail when I log into it from a web site. I don't want thunderbird to have access.

On Saturday morning 27 June 2026 I tried to login my Orcon email account via Thunderbird (which I have been using for a long time). But my login didn't work, I got a message saying "login to POP3.orcon.net.nz with username habitation failed." On 30th June 2026 I reported the problem to Orcon.

Orcon gave me the following settings for Thunderbird. I have done that and even made a new account: Incoming Server Type: IMAP Mail Server: imap.orcon.net.nz Port: 143 SSL: Off Authentication: On (username and password required)

Outgoing SMTP Server: Mail Server: smtp.orcon.net.nz Port: 25 SSL: Off Authentication: Off

Since then I have spent many hours and going around in circles with Orcon's Technical Support to resolve this, but no luck. They blame Thunderbird. I used Thunderbird Troubleshoot Mode. The message that comes up reads: login to server mail orcon.net.nz with username habitation failed. Please can you check that your server settings above are correct? And if there is a bug? Irma
