I don't use Archives or Templates. There is no folder on my servers that correspond to these and they are not subscribed in my IMAP settings.

They don't appear in the per-account view. But they somehow appear in the unified folder view.

I am not able to figure out how to make them disappear.

Help.

I have loaded thunderbird and the email preview pane is not displaying. It was OK this morning but has disappeared now. Is this a temp[orary issue or has there been an update of the program.

I'm working with Thunderbird 152.0 on linux (Manjaro GNOME). I've been having this issue where sometimes while composing a reply, the quoted text of the email I'm replying to in the body of my current reply will be displayed as black on the dark background. It's very annoying when I need to look at specific text to refer to in my message.

Some more observations: - This is not a new issue, it's been happening for quite a while now, possibly years, but it's finally gotten to a point where I want to fix it. - It does not always happen. I suspect it's when the original message I'm replying to has been formatted in html first, whereas I prefer plain text replies.

I've attached an image of what it can look like on my end, as well as one where I select the text to show the contents.

Is there anything that can be done about it?

Thunderbird is marking unread messages as read after about 5 minutes. I've tried changing settings by delaying or unticking automatically mark messages as read in the "reading & display area" and it's still marking messages after about 5 minutes to read when they haven't been opened. We are not using Bitdefender - I saw this was referred to in the help section and changes could be made to that to stop this happening but we are only using Microsoft defender. We are not using another device, ie phone or ipad to access emails on this account - just a PC We do have other email accounts running on different PC and none of those appear affected by this problem.

Whenever I open the single mail with the arrow > , it opens up as well all the past mails and sometimes mails which are not related with my topic. Please let me know how I can fix it avoiding the mail grouping. Many thanks in advance for your help. Kind rgds. FT

When I replaced Outlook with Thunderbird, it was brilliant. It was so good, I chose to donate! Now it's changed. I was trying to find out why a forwarded email changed the body of the message to a HTML attachment. I stupidly followed a wrong AI help process and changed something I can't remember. Now all of my emails only show hyperlinks and not the pictures these hyperlinks point to. I would like the pictures back and the option to download these if these are safe in new emails. I've seached everywhere I thought I went but I can't find the setting that does this. Please help if you can.

On upgrade to 152.0, a pop-up asked for options I have not seen before. I cannot find info about what the net.thunderbird option is, nor why I would or would not want to click it? Any help out there?

Whenever I restart Thunderbird, I have to change the settings back to "Table view," 20 recent folders, sorted alphabetically. This occurs on only one of my computers (Windows 11). My guess is that the settings file must be corrupted. How do I fix that?

I need help to remove a Thunderbird message "Welcome to Freedom" which pops up every time I open Thunderbird to read or write mails. Can you remove it, please? Or advice me how to remove it. Thank you Kind regards Kirsten Liljegren [redacted]@gmail.com

Many times, I have a conversation with many messages. I may want to sort the array of conversation fields on any field. Currently, if I click on any field name, the conversation collapses.

I'm a newby to Thunderbird so forgive me if this sounds stupid. I'm moving off Outlook so used the TB Import function to get all my mail into my TB Inbox. Sucess. Next I'm setting up Filters to move all that mail to my Local Folders but struggling a bit. After setting up a few filters, I hit the Run Now button and off it goes (I guess), reading thru all 9,000 messages and moving the ones targetted. The problem is, I don't know when that has finished so I go and build a few more filters and run manually again, or try to. The Run Manual button is now greyed out. It would be nice if there was a display at the bottom telling me why that is so. It would also be nice if, when running manually, it not only told you the target folder, but has a progress bar to let you know how that's going. I suspect the greyed out Run Now button on my subsequent execution is because it's still doing the first execution. I would know that if the display was there.

This product use to be simple. But now will not let me see the whole layout . Have to chase it across back to the begining. Been with this program over 15 years. Now i Hate it! Arthur Lovett as my father would say Keep it Simple and workable.

When I open the sentmail folder, I want the receiptants name (email address) to show in the list of emails sent instead of my name (email address). How do I resolve this?

I searched throughout Thunderbird's settings to see where I could enlarge the font in the main screen where the list of emails are. I can't even Ctrl+ in this screen to enlarge it! Help! Eye Strains... Please see the paint screenprint.jpg. for illustration. Thank you! Marla
