Login to the server pop.gmx.net with username "..." failed.

I have several accounts with GMX. Two work, and the other two display the above error message. Everything works when I log in via a browser, but not in Thunderbird. The account settings are identical for all four accounts except for the password and username.

What can I do?

I use the quick filter option very often. I use this to filter my message list by sender I'm a bit "tired" of constantly copying the sender e-mail address -> then pasting it into the quick filter field.

I am looking for an option like "Quick filter by this sender" or something like that Does anyone know how i can achieve this?

Some years ago there was an excellent extension from trusted contributor alta8888 called TotalQuickFilter (https://bitbucket.org/alta8888/totalquickfilter/wiki/Home) but unfortunately it was discontinued

the new "experimental" account center doesn't work (version 150.0) how can I go back to the precedent account creation tool ? the option "experimental account center" is NOT checked, but I still have only the new creation account form.

Dear Team, I have to download approximately 9000 emails in the inbox/ sent folders saved in yahoo with attachments. Though I could download after spending a week, unable to see the downloaded messages. Please inform how to proceed. Thanks. p.s: As suggested by chatgpt, I selected all messages in both the folders and downloaded them again. Please suggest best way to download the messages quickly and verify the contents. Hello! It seems Thunderbird emails are suddenly being 'threaded'. It is causing great confusion in my office.

I need to see each email from a person separately in order to find them easily and also to reply to each one at the time it is received.

Can someone please explain in very simple non-techy jargon:- a) How I 'unthread' messages already threaded AND b) How I stop any new ones being threaded in the first place.

I am a lone software developer in my own office.

I do not store my passwords. I type them in every time I log in. It's the only way to remember passwords: type them in every time to reinforce memory.

I want to see my passwords when I type them. I don't want a click option to view them. I want to be able to see what I'm typing every time all the time.

I've been a contributor for a number of years. Please create an option to support my request.

If you need me to program the change, please let me know.  :-) I suspect that it is simply a matter of turning off a property on the entry field. This is my third request.

RE: How to turn OFF message preview when I single-click on message?

When in TB message list, and selecting a message for an operation by making a single-click on the message, the selected message opens. When using CNTL key to select several messages together for an operation, each of the messages opens an individual preview pane. I have searched TB's knowledgebase, but apparently no other users have this problem.

I have a SoGO email account through my educational institution. I configured the new account in Thunderbird just as I did with my other email accounts (which are all functioning well). My SoGO email was verified to be working, and I was able to receive new emails and also search my old emails. However, when I try to send emails, I come up with a Send Message Error that says Authentication required. I have checked the email address, the Outgoing Server, the authentication methods, and the server settings, and I can find nothing that is wrong. I am still able to send emails from the other accounts, and I am able to get incoming emails to the SoGO account, I just can't send them.

After the last update when trying to send email I get the warrning of app: errer with "smtp.gmail.com". Any idea on how to fix it? Thank you for your help.

How do I view the messages referenced by the dialogue asking me "Do you want to send your unsent messages now?" This dialogue suddenly started to appear when I startup Thunderbird. The dialogue has two buttons: "Send Now" and "Later." Thanks

So I have gone through many of the suggested actions in removing an email account from Thunderbird. It keeps asking for a password for an email account I no longer use. It was a gmail account. I have removed calendar reminders. I have gone to the profiles. It is not listed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird. But Every time I open the program and several times while using. It asks me for the password. How do I remove this?

A few months ago I installed Thunderbird onto a new PC having previously used it on a previous PC (so I'm not a newbie).. However I'm seeing a persistent issue that I never saw before...

I've a regular contact whose name I won't specify but let's call him Roger Smith. What happens is that whenever I post something on a forum (such as this one) and somebody replies, the replies look as if they came from Roger Smith - even though he's got no connection with the actual forum.

It doesn't happen with every forum - for example it doesn't happen with this one - but it does affect most of them. Has anyone else ever reported this and is there anything I can do to correct it?

I want to use TB to access my GMX CalDAV calendar. Basically, this works fine. But completed Todos disappear from the list after a day or so ("Show completed tasks" is checked). If I export the whole calendar to a ICS file, the todos are included though.

Is this a bug or is there a configuration where I can change that behaviour?

Now in v 150, I can no longer modify the tools in the reading pane. Used to be able to but it seems to have disappeared. Of course layout is modifiable but spacing out the tools (so that I don't hit the wrong button in error) or turning some off is no longer an option. The More|Customize does not do much for what I want. Thoughts?
