Hi, I've tried searching for this but there seems to be alot of misunderstanding as to what is being asked, so please forgive the length of this post. Running Windows 7, Thunderbird 115.15.0 (64-bit). On opening Thunderbird or when a reminder point for a calendar or event is due a Reminders Window Pops Up showing all reminders/events. I can dismiss individulally or All or snooze indivulally or All. There is also an option [X] to close the window. Q, As to my actual question, if that window is closed, for what ever reason, I can not find away of re-opening the window, any help on how to do this? Please note I am not referring to the "Today Pain" which I can show or hide as needed. As an example I may have an appointment due on the 12th of the month, but need to prepare for it so I set a reminder for 3 days before, ie 9th. So on the 9th a reminder for the appointment appears allowing me to dismiss or snooze. I would commonly start to prepare and as such leave the reminder as is, not clicking dismiss or snooze but closing the window. Later on in the day I wish to open the window so I can clear the reminder. That's the window I wish to open and do not know how. Snoozing will not help as I may not be able to predict how long it takes me to prepare and therefore can snoze for too long or too short. I've included a screen shot of the actual window in question with a dummy reminder. Hope this was too long and thanks for any help offered.

Ubuntu 24.04, Thunderbird 128.1.0esr (64-bit)

I have a mix of POP and IMAP accounts. All are read when starting Thunderbird, I receive the messages. But then, only the IMAP accounts get the messages, whatever the configuration of the Server Settings. I.e. no messages for the POP accounts from "Check for new messages every X minutes", nor from "Get Messages". I have to restart Thunderbird to get the new messages for the POP accounts.

Everything worked well before, this problem happens since I have upgraded Xubuntu from 22.04 to 24.04, where the Thunderbird package switched to a mandatory Snap, where it upgraded to 128.1.0.

I am unable to add a subfolder in Thunderbird, delete a folder, or rename them. I am able to copy a folder to another account.

I right-click on a folder, select "add subfolder" and nothing happens, the same when I right-click "rename" or "delete". I just started using the dark mode theme and relaxed density. When I switch back to defaults settings, I still have the same issue.

I have multiple email accounts configured in Thunderbird, all of them are IMAP and hosted through Google/gmail.

Occasionally emails that I delete or move to folders will return to my inbox. This happens very irregularly. Sometimes it happens daily, sometimes it can go many days without an occurrence.

If emails are sorted within the gmail browser interface, the problem never happens.

I've tried a complete deletion of Thunderbird and all app data, and resetting all email accounts but the problem persists.

New policy (in France) only allows SMTP server to accept mail from addresses of the same domain that the user.

Ex: smtp.orange.fr only accepts mail from *@orange.fr Ex: mail.gandi.net, when user is foo@domain.tld, only accepts mail from foo@domain.tld

Issue: it is not possible to use email aliases anymore (ex for project email, such as *@php.net, *@fedoraproject)

Proposal:

Allow to use user login in mail envelop (in "MAIL FROM:" for SMTP protocol, so as return-path) instead of profile email (which can be an unallowed alias)

Tested from CLI, it seems to work.

Problema tasto canc. In una qualunque cartella con un numero n° di messaggi, selezionando uno di essi e premendo il tasto canc, avveniva la cancellazione dello stesso e di tutti i messaggi n fino a che non veniva rilasciato il tasto canc. Con il rilascio della versione 128.xx invece questa funzione è stata disabilitata. E' possibile ripristinarla? per me era molto comoda.

what is the problem and how to solve it?

Dear Support Team,

For the past two weeks, I have been experiencing significant issues with Thunderbird. The program frequently freezes, and I have also noticed that some of my sent emails are missing from the "Sent" folder.

I would like to mention that other colleagues using the same email accounts do not encounter these problems, and Thunderbird has worked smoothly for me over the last 5 years. The issues started after I returned from a 2.5-week vacation during which I did not open the program.

Could you please help me resolve these issues? Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the latest version of Thunderbird (128.2.0esr (64-bit)).

For some months I've been having a problem with some mail that I have read still showing as unread (bold). This happens whether I use the message pane or double-click to open the mail in a separate window.

Even if I then right-click on the email and select Mark > As read, the email initially shows as read, but a short time later it reverts to unread (bold).

I raised the issue with my email service provider and they say they only support web mail.

Any suggestions please?

I would like to remove menu items, which I never use:

• for simplicity
• to avoid accidental deletion (e.g. "delete folder", "delete message", "delete mail marked as junk in folder", etc.)

NO flltering system is perfect, so a real live human bean needs to check what Gmail and/or Thunderbird has classified as Spam and retrieve the few valid messages. But unless Thunderbird displays NUMBER of messages waiting there, I'm not reminded to check. Is there some parameter I need to set to make it do that?

Hello. I am using Win11 and have been a Mozilla Thunderbird user for many years. Today I cannot open Thunderbird due to a "side-by-side" error. See image attached. I am not very computer savvy and therefor find some of the suggested solutions on the web rather difficult to understand and apply. I would appreciate any help you can be. If I open an E-mail and click FORWARD then change the send to address and make some changes in that E-mail then click SEND will that show up in my SEND ITEMS list??

If so how long should that take?? Do I need to close the E-mail Thunderbird and then reopen it to see the message that I sent via FORWARD??

I did this and the FORWARDED E-mail did not show in my SENT ITEM list??

I finally upgraded TB v102 to v115 (115.15.0) on Windows 10. I got this version working fine and looking similar to v102. When I tried to attach a PDF to a new email, via drag'n drop to the email compose window, it doesn't work. I open TB in administrator mode. I can use the time-consuming attach via the button and selection.

It seems this has been commented on via the Internet but I am having a hard time believing that drag'n drop attachment no longer works. What setting am I missing?

Thunderbird is causing subfolders within my Inbox to first show their names in italics and no contents then disappear altogether.

The folder Medical and later the folder IreneLyon, have disappeared altogether. The folders Scams and MummyBellNet exist in both italic/empty and intact versions. The folder Inoreader exists only in intact/empty form.

The italicization part has happened before and I eventually got those folders back but I cannot find notes from that.

There have been aberrations and odd sequences of events in Thunderbird, obviously related to this and not, which I cannot now reconstruct or describe.

Recently I looked at Help-About and was updated, on going into it, from 115.14.0 (64-bit) Supernova to 128.1.1esr (64-bit) Nebula.

Used to have tasks until today, now I cant enter a task (+ New Task is greyed out).

Tried suggestion from post by Chris Ilias Moderator 11/7/18, 7:53 AM "more options Hi John, It sounds like the Lightning add-on is disabled. If you cannot enable it in the Add-ons Manager, could you try the solutions in the following article, and see if any of them help: Calendar updates issues with Thunderbird."

I tried disabling and re-enabling lightning, no difference. Any suggested fixes?

In the last two days I have received four emails from different sources that had an old picture that my son had sent me years ago that is still on my computer instead of the actual email dialog.

After and automatic update of Thunderbird this past week (128.0), dragging multiple names from an open address book window to the TO:, CC or Bcc line from a subfolder cannot be done. When you do so, the outbound letter grey's out and a line says "add as an attachment?" Doing that makes a big mess of the addresses. Not sure what is going on but it's causing a hassle in sending out e-mails to specific names in subfolders in our address book.
