I have Norton installed, which might be the problem, or maybe not. Computer is a MacBook Air, but the same problem happens on my desktop iMac, which also has Norton protection. Problem is trouble connecting almost every time I want to go to a new website. The internet IS working and computer IS connected to internet. But Server is 'not found' according to this frequent msg:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.google.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

See the attached. Usually when the process gets above 1gb I kill it, but I've watched it get over 7gb before. This is a terrible nuisance that other browsers handle with ease. Why does Firefox allow such selfishness through your browser? You have the ability to allow or disallow anything! Get on top of it! I say this because more than a decade ago you had the same problem on Windows as you now have on Linux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET A FUCKEN BRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP HIRING COMPLETE MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will soon be replacing and then banning Mozilla as an option on all Linux platforms and hopefully everyone else will ban you worthless retarded fucks too!!!!!!!!!

Why does Firefox block so many news and current affairs links? Is this censorship? When I am blocked by Firefox I can usually rely on Opera to open them immediately and without any fuss. I'm fast losing confidence in Firefox as my default browser.

A couple of weeks ago my Firefox desktop suddenly stopped loading images correctly. This is especially true for image-heavy websites like Tumblr. Images will either not load or only partially load. It takes several refreshes to get even 75% of images to load properly (including Shift+Ctrl+R). My Internet connection and speed are normal. Weirdly, other browsers loaded images fine at first, but now they're laggy, too? They still work better in comparison, though. And the Internet on my iPhone and iPad are perfectly fine.

I've tried all of these multiple times: Restarting my PC, Internet, and router. Disabling certain extensions (especially those for Tumblr and ad blockers). Restarting in Troubleshoot Mode without extensions. Reducing number of tabs.

I tried the different Profile trick I found Googling this issue to death, and it works, but I want to fix my default profile's issues if I can. Oh, and YouTube is insufferable to watch and crashes the browser, but I suspect that might have to do more with what YouTube's trying to do with ad blockers. Especially since Chrome isn't much better on that count (aside from the crashing).

Edit: This issue started occurring around the time I downloaded the last Firefox update before the latest one. I thought installing the latest one might solve the problem, but it didn't. This might just be a coincidence.

Hi,

I'm having a weird issue with my firefox. Recently I've been having more common occurring issue, where my browser will fail to load a website, saying that I should check firewall, internet status, etc. On top of it, my youtube player's also been buffering way more and sometimes freezes the whole tab.

Now, I'm very certain that something is up with my firefox, because the same thing happens across 3 different computers on different networks (work pc, home pc and my laptop that I use on the go). The only common factor is my firefox account which I use to sync stuff (which is super convenient, by the way).

I've tested some other solutions that have worked for other users with the same problem, but to no avail. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Cheers

Just after the last update (131.0.2), PaperPort SE 14 has been crashing whenever I attempt a Save or Save As operation, either on new scan or previous scan. This happens ONLY when Firefox is running. (Doesn't matter what site or URL and also occurs during Troubleshoot Mode.) If I close Firefox, the operation(s) are successful, just as they have been for many, many years. (Nuance stopped supporting PaperPort around 2015). I also do not have any problems when I use a different browser (Edge or Chrome). There was also a Windows update on the same day as Firefox was updated but that seems irrelevant since the crashes do not occur under other browsers. Also, it doesn't seem to be in the "main' program PaperPort, but more so in "ImageView" which is used to edit or modify a new or existing scan. All operations from the main program, including Save & Save As, operate normally so it doesn't seem related to file permissions, etc. And why would there be problems only when Firefox is running?

am wondering if you could help in a matter with Firefox, since seems to beg Firefox access problem, apparently due to a new feature in Firefox? I was told to change the policy settings in Firegox about config to show false, which I did. I attached a picture of the pop up I get when I open Firefox, which opens to

Yahoo.com, news feed

It has to do with not being able to access Firefox, when I try to open PG&E, (Pacific Gas & Electric Company), as I usually do. I have searched and found that this is apparently a Firefox issue that is being caused by a new feature being utilized in Firefox. It appears that the issue is NOT a PG&E's problem, but some program in Firefox not being compatible with something in PG&E website. Also with this issue, I can't view videos in the news stories, because of thr privacy pop up, it says to allow advertising, which I don't select, since I have gone into Firefox settings and set the it to don't srll my info. And, btw, I was getting the pop up BEFORE I I changed the don't sell settings in Firefox. I have to copy the URL and paste it into Chrome to see the vidros in the news stories. Is there a work around in Firefox that can be used to access PG&E with Firefox, as I have read in a few forums that we need to ‘allow' Firefox from the PG&E web site, but that can't be done if we can't open it in the browser? Not sure if that info is accurate though. Why would Firefox be using a feature that doesn't allow all web sites, if that is the actual cause? Thank you for your help, and hopefully there is a solution to fix this particular issue. Stay safe and well. Mike S

Hi Mozilla Community,

I have come across a new problem in the last week or so. I have a bunch of websites pinned on my Firefox homepage, but during the last week, some of them won't load when I click on the pinned webpage, BUT they do load when I type the address into the address bar.

The websites that are problematic for me are: medium.com and photographylife.com - these are not troublesome websites, or questionable websites. Everything used to work just fine. It could be the most recent update - although I am not sure. I thought it was related to Norton Internet Security but I turned Norton off and am still seeing the same problem.

If anybody has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Simon

Recently, my Firefox started running slow. Most sites are accessed fast. When a site requires a login though, it takes a very long time to get to the login screen. Sometimes, it doesn't get there at all. I've tried these sites on a different browser and there is no slowness.

Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
