When opening a new window on firefox I see a "homepage" (No URL offered at the top of the page), offering some helpful, frequently used shortcut icons followed by a number of headings, i.e. : Popular Today, Connections, Featured Videos, etc., providing image/links to stories from various "news" or "interest" websites, which I can click on to view. Opening a number of these sites in order to view the advertised "story" require setting up a free, or paywall account/membership, etc.. How can I eliminate these undesirable/unwanted options from being "offered" or shown on my firefox homepage? Something may look interesting, but I'm not one to sign up, or pay to view these opportunities. I see where I can eliminate entire Categories, but what I'm trying to do is block, or eliminate the "offer to view" what I deem "unwanted offers to sign up to view this "story". Can this "Junk/Bait" be eliminated from my homepage on a site by site basis? As examples: CNN, Wired", "the cut", among others. Can the page be configured to eliminate the offering of "Non-Free", "Non-Membership", "Non-Signup" Sites? (Apologies for my lack of appropriate semantics, I'm just a user, not an Internet Expert, developer, or or software-savvy person.) As an aside, is there a way to contact a real live human person at Mozilla/Firefox to assist with issues like this, or answer related questions. All I seem to find are circular links to "Contact Mozilla", which bring me to unrelated FAQ databases, and user forums, etc., where I find I'm unable to get an answer to the question asked? I'm sorry to say all my groups and tabs were not opened this morning, and the restore session option doesn't even show up in options!

The groups are not even in my history even though I used them yesterday!

How can this be?

I don't believe they're all gone. I know sessions are backed up...

Hello, I somehow have gotten a slimmer sidebar that is attached to my bookmarks sidebar on the left. I can't get it to disappear without losing my bookmarks at the same time. When I re-open bookmarks it has this sidebar again on the side. Is it possible to get just this slim bar to go away? Thank you

I have all the location settings I can find on my Firefox browser, google, and device turned off, but the new firefox weather widget still had my hometown as the default location, which is is not the same location as my IP address. And when I went to buy a book online through Thriftbooks with a guest account the address line autofilled with addresses in my hometown. I do not have any addresses saved to autofill. Where is this information being stored and how do I get rid of it?? Is there something in about:config I can shut off or disable?

I was receiving Directv content on Mozilla Firefox for months without issue. Suddenly it stopped completely and left a message "We couldn't play this content at this time". I don't understand why this happened or how to fix it. I want to do all my browsing with Mozilla Firefox so I need help. It would be truly excellent if I could speak to a human about this issue. recent firefox update can no longer copy and paste when creating a blog post in Squarespace, I have been using squarespace for around 15 years for my websites and I have never seen this issue, Firefox 15.1 installed and all of a sudden when trying to create a blog post in Squarespace, when I right click a text box pop up and it no longer says paste so I can no longer copy and paste text - this is more than a little annoying, you will not be surprised to know that I am now using Chrome to create my posts, there is no issue in chrome. I am a firefox geek! how can i solve this problem, I just did another update from Firefox, the issue remains I have been using computers for 40 year so I am not a novice but software glitches, I am lost

I noticed that the World Clock widget includes Pakistan Standard Time (PKT) but does not provide an option for Indian Standard Time (IST). This is surprising given that India has one of the world's largest internet user bases and a significantly larger population than many countries currently represented.

India operates on a unique UTC+5:30 time zone used by over 1.4 billion people, making it one of the most widely used time zones globally. The absence of IST while neighbouring time zones are available feels like a major oversight and reduces the usefulness of the widget for Indian users and anyone who regularly works with Indian colleagues, clients, friends, or family.

Please add Indian Standard Time (IST) to the World Clock widget as a standard option. Its inclusion would greatly improve the widgets global coverage and usability.

As of today, this was the situation (image 1). I had to do a manual update.

Also, when I first visited here today, I was not logged in. I 'd like to stay logged in. Then, I couldn't have been here for more than 15 seconds, and this appeared. How can a session be expired when there was no session? Is this part of the reason I don't stay logged in?

My cat stepped on my keyboard and now my top bar with my tabs is only accessible when I mouse up to the top, and my taskbar is hidden entirely and can only be seen if I downsize my firefox window. What button combination do I need to press to restore my browser to its previous visibility?

I'm using firefox in ubuntu. A couple of minutes ago Firefox crashed. I restarted to a completely new Firefox. All my tabs, extensions, saved passwords, etc. were gone. This happened to me a few weeks ago. That time I found a solution: find a back-up of the old profile and manually restore it. I tried to reproduce that solution this time, only to find that there are no back-ups at all of my previous session. Is there a solution to this problem?

My chosen language is English, with French second and US English third. I want to set French as my translation language but when I select 'Translation Settings' I am presented with a menu that only allows Removal of languages. How do I Add a language ? In this case French.

So whenever I click on new tabs, it always leads to a redirect notice asking me to confirm if I want to open those tabs.

I want it so that I don't get these notices, but the links I click on just open automatically. I have tried the following settings in about:config based on a few threads online:

accessibility.blockautorefresh

network.http.redirection-limit

A few other settings to that I have turned on and off but no difference.

A lot of the websites are also confusing because they seem to want to turn redirects ON rather than off, so potentially I am struggling to follow the correct information.

Any help appreciated.
