Listen I have a profile in another partition in Mint and want to transfer my Bookmarks/profile etc to my new 22.3 install but far too complicated. I also have a previous Key which I no longer wish to use as it has deleted all 20 years worth of messages. Please please please just set up my profile again oFirefox or then revert by to the one from 2025 Mint 21.3 Thomas McM Rbold textamos de Deus

with this new version i lost everything i need to get back to an older version and get all my extentions my bookmarks back all my s desktop items that i had linked to firefox are gone i can no longer get face book or anything back to firefox book marks every thing i had with firefox

Today, when I opened my firefox page, I was forced to create a profile whether I wanted one or not. I did so, and lost all my established bookmarks and other links to items I frequently use. How can I recover those?

So i restarted macbook and when i opened Firefox, my bookmarks were all gone. i read the text about how to restore them but it didnt work and i really need those bookmarks. also i cant add bookmarks, its just not working. hopefully you'll help me with my question, thabk you.

UNBELIEVABLE, I've never had this much trouble with a previous update. Your AUTOMATIC update closed all web pages that were open last session, offers no option to restore previous session, and took me 2 hours just to get bookmarks back. I had way too many pages open, but I have lost some important research for work that was in process. Multiple support options didn't work until I found one that would for bookmarks, but the history seems to be unretrievable. Not how i wanted to spend my morning.

My bookmarks have stopped working. When I went to Edit Bookmark I found they are all empty. I can create a new bookmark as usual, but I have over 300 bookmarks that no long function that are very important to my work. Is there any way I can possibly restore them, as my work depends on them?

I turned on Firefox this morning and its all changed I have no bookmarks no menu and no search bar I hate this new system Why cant i go back to the previous version ???

Last night I had an operating system update. Before the OS update, I closed all open apps, including Firefox. In the past, the session I closed the previous evening was restored. But this morning, all my pinned tabs and other open tabs are gone, and Restore Previous Session does not appear as an option on the dropdown menu. Recently Closed Tabs is pretty random, not really helpful. Recently Closed Windows only shows one tab that I opened this morning (probably a mistake on my part). Is there any way for me to retrieve the session from yesterday?

I had around 3000 tabs open I closed the browser completely today. Normally when I reopen firefox all those tabs were appearing still. This time none of the tabs restored I can see tabs in history part namede 19.01.2026 although not all my tabs are there. When ever I try to reload them from the restore history part; firefox doesnt reply and doesnt take the command.

when I clicked on firefox icon today, bing browser appeared and I was not able to use firefox until I downloaded firefox again. I would like to restore the firefox I was using, I had several windows open and my passwords stored there. please advise

I have enabled the option to open the previous windows and tabs. I had one window that I always closed last as it had a lot of groups that are important for my work, so it used to open every time I started Firefox. Sometimes, even if I closed the window by mistake without closing other windows, I was able to get it back by pressing ctrl+shift+n.

But yesterday, I might have closed it by mistake and when I pressed ctrl+shift+n , it didn't come back. I wasn't able to access my window and now it's all gone. I don't see anything in recently closed windows in history.

I need those tabs back as they are very important for my work. they were a lot of tabs. I had many groups but now all are gone. I tried by using the previous.jsonlz4 in the sessionstore-backup by renaming it in the default-release profile as sesstionstore.jsonlz4 but still wasn't able to access my window.

I didn't clear my history as the tabs opened in the window still show up in the history.

Kindly help as soon as possible

Yesterday, possibly related to updating to version 148, my profile completely disappaered. My old profiles are not visible under about:profiles, but are present on disk. They can not be imported with firefox -P. How do I get my profile data back?

Three days ago a window popped up asking me to update Firefox. I did and afterwards my personal bookmarks listing disappeared. I tried rebooting everything. No luck. I went to your website and followed all of your suggestions, but again nothing worked; mainly because I could not find on my computer the info the last step in your suggestions were asking for. (I did get a message several times telling me I was using an old Firefox profile. I tried to investigate, but each time your instructions told me to look for something as the last or next-to-last step, I ended not being able to find it on my computer. Again, I have tried everything. Please help me.

I want to transfer my profile from an old laptop to a new one. i am not comfortable with uploading my passwords to the cloud as i do not understand how this is safe. i made tar.gz file with the entire profile, almost 1gb and put that on the new laptop. edited the profiles.ini and install.ini and expected the profile will load, but firefox simply does not work in that profile. it cannot browse and clicking the menu button in top right does nothing. Please, help. If I share data below that is the working profile, not the one that fails.

Where do I input my recovery Key to get my account back? I recently had to get a new mother board and hard drive on my laptop. In the process, it wiped out my Firefox. I have reinstalled Firefox and have my previous Recovery Key to get my bookmarks passwords but can not locate where to enter the recovery key to do this. All I can seem to find is how to create a recovery key, not where to enter an already existing recovery key. Please help.

Since I upgraded to you, I am having trouble accessing important and medical info. I would like you to put every thing the way it was before. Easy access. You erraced some of my passwords, I want them back. I spend hours trying to find my info. I am 80 yrs old and do not need this aggravation. Thank you Moira

I have been a user of Firefox for many, many years (it is my default browser) and as of today I am extremely upset with you. Once again I go to use my favorite browser and all my bookmarks have been removed. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SINCE THE NEW YEAR 2026.

I spent a great deal of time putting the bookmarks together that hold all the links to clients and their respective sites, along with all the places I have applied to and was about to apply, and today, again, they have all disappeared.

So, give me a reason to keep using your browser? As of this point, I am going to move to another browser and begin setting up all the bookmarks that I remember ... thanks for what seems to have become a HUGE problem with Firefox and blowing away my bookmarks and making me reset everything.

I have used Firefox when everyone told me to move to another because I believed you were the best at protecting my browsing experience and you didn't disappoint. But these last two times you have removed so much of my time I am at a loss as to why I even bother with you now ... besides, you have removed my Dad's obituary link and I'm not sure I will ever trust you again.

All of my bookmarks; hundreds of them, disappeared from the folders that appear along the top of the task bar and the folders are now empty. I cannot locate a backup file which is supposedly saved automatically and the appearance of a folder on my desktop titled "old Firefox data" doesn't help resolve the situation. I need help recovering these book marks if possible.
