Some web sites such as Amazon have an options bars to select items like 'review order'. When the web page first comes up, they show white in the dark bar. But Firefox is immediately changing the white to purple so that it is almost impossible to read. I haven't been able to find anything in settings to correct this. I do not have this issue when I use Chrome.

I am having trouble with Firefox when making a purchase or submitting a form. I get right up to the submit function and nothing happens. If I go to the same site with Edge, everything works fine.
I am using Malwarebytes and Facebook Container extensions. Are either of these causing the problem? And if so is there a work-around?

Hello. I frequently shop at particular store and have never had a problem.
Now, it's off and on. One order will go through with the help of their customer service (doing a direct purchase). Then a few weeks later I don't have a problem and can order without assistance. Now, once again, I can't purchase anything. Once my credit card goes through my address disappears. Then I add my address again and then my credit card is deleted. When my address or my credit card is deleted the order has in bold red letters telling me to add it again. I've tried Chrome after Firefox had issues but it had an issue too.
Is there something I can disable while I shop? I'm not having any problems with any other sites. Thank you!
Is anyone else having an issue connecting to Xfinity stream?

Today, and never before has it happened, my Firefox web application abruptly crashed and closed itself while I was sending an email (earlier) and then searching for a spreadsheet in Google Sheets (just recently). Both times, the application also has disappeared from my computer by uninstalling itself I suppose - as I cannot simply reopen the app to pick up where I left off.
So, I've reinstalled it both times but each time - it resets my search history and pre-saved PINS and TAB GROUPS up top. So I have to recreate that each time. It's fine to do it once or twice, but it seems like something is going on here where I will have this problem be a daily or regular occurrence.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?

I'm using Firefox, updated to version 140.0.4, on my Windows 11 laptop. Since Edge is my primary browser, I normally only use Firefox for two particular websites that don't work well in Edge. Beginning in March 2025, I've had a strange problem with one of those websites. In certain situations, words or phrases pop up in text boxes, meaning that if I want to type something, I first have to delete the word or phrase. Since it's a game website (not a video type game -- actually contract bridge) and the game is somewhat time-sensitive, this is very annoying. The words and phrases are ones that are appropriate to the website (i.e., not random), and seem to be the same in each session. That's why I labeled this as a "clipboard-related" issue.
Clearing the cache seems to help for a short time, but the problem always returns. <Ctrl>-F5 also helps, but seems to work for some text boxes but not others. In fact, <Ctrl>-F5 works for one type of text box, the type that I use most often, for the remainder of that session. But if I use one of the other text boxes, it doesn't help.
If that isn't strange enough, there are two additional oddities: For the other text boxes, the ones that are unaffected by <Ctrl>-F5, if I continue to use them, they eventually stop popping up words and phrases, again just for the remainder of that session.
The other oddity is that I'm using the free version of the LastPass plugin, and every time one of these words or phrases pops up, the LastPass symbol (a red box with three white dots) also appears at the right of the text box. This is completely inappropriate, since these text boxes have nothing to do with logging in or passwords. For this reason, I'm going to try to contact LastPass to ask about the same issue. However, their support isn't very responsive, so I'm hoping that somebody in the Mozilla forum will have a solution.
As I said, the problem only occurs on this one bridge website, and although I've been using Firefox to access it for several years, the issue never occurred before March 2025.

Under Settings; Privacy and Security, my Passwords have disappeared, and at the same time all of my Bookmarks disappeared also.
While I was online this morning, all of a sudden my Mozilla tab went blank and the Firefox Icon on the bottom tray disappeared too.
All 3 problems happened at the same time.
This is a disaster for me.
Can the Passwords be restored? What in the world happened to my system?
Thank you.

I tried to change my password but could not find an acct key, don't even remember having one! This is a new computer and it worked fine until I say that you are showing a very old picture for my account and showing I'm still on Windows 10!!! That is VERY OLD and I've used Firefox for years!!! I changed from Windows 10 to 11 on 7-1-25. Someone has hacked my account I guess!
What to do???
I tried changing my password and it would not accept the 72501823 code you sent! I entered it but it just sat there without moving!

Context: Here is an animation I generate with a program I'm developing. It being an SVG makes it useful to open in a web-browser. In chromium based browsers I have smooth animation, while in firefox I get much worse performance. At larger animations the problem becomes much more apparent. This is the approximately the largest animation that firefox can handle without lagging too much.
Expected: Firefox should have comparable SVG animation performance as chromium.

Hello... So, a couple of weeks ago, there was a 15-hour blackout during a Windows 11 update. I had exited firefox, and was shutting the laptop down, and it asked if I wanted to update and shut down (or other options). I chose update and close. When the lights came on and the router booted back up, Windows finished updating. It works, but here is the rub: whenever Ffox runs, a couple of minutes into the sessions, it will start displaying previous session screens, screen saver-like: one after the other every ten seconds or so. I can't X out, because it disappears whenever I move the cursor. The images appear not only on Ffox, but cover whatever other app's screen until I move the cursor, which is irritating when you're trying to meet the deadline on a novel! Please help! I am running version 140, by the way.
Is there a registry hack to over ride and set mozilla as the default browser. it is annoying to have to set as default every time.

The following problem has occurred at least three times, each with a different organization. In making an online contribution, I first enter my personal information-name, address, email, etc--and then move on to enter credit card information. When I enter the credit card information, the personal information disappears. When I re-enter the personal information, the credit card data disappears. Eventually, I wind up calling the intended recipient and giving them all this information verbally. What is going on with Firefox? How can this problem be fixed?
