After connecting and signing in to Mozilla Connect, it seems impossible to actually log out. There is a log out option in the dropdown menu, but it doesn't work. After "logging out", when going back to the site one is automatically logged back in. This is true even after clearing all mozilla.org cookies, and closing the browser. If a different browser is used, first time access to the Mozilla Connect site requires username/email and password, but after the first access, the alternate browser is also perpetually logged in.

1. What mechanism is being used to identify me as the user after cookies are cleared ?

2. How does this fit in with Mozilla's claims to respecting user privacy ?

3. How do a log out of the Mozilla Connect site ?

I have always been logged into Firefox and I know that I had updated my bookmarks but recently I have re-installed my Windows and after logging into firefox all my bookmarks are gone. I don't have a html file and I can't 'upload' them manually.

I was hoping that they would be automatically updated after sign in... All I have are default bookmarks and the last 'sync' is showing today, which is after I re-installed Windows... Is there any way to get them back?

Any advice?

i need to block a site from a redirect that interferes with every page gone to on the site. the page that pops up every time is https://ultimatesurferprotector.com/lp5.php it is just some dumb program someone is trying to force people to see and i do not want to see it. please remove its ability to appear in my browser. thanks.

I have found Manage Extensions to be useless. It should 1) show all extensions installed whether turned on or not, and 2) Include a toggle to pin/unpin the extension there, rather than users having to search for this. I don't know how to find installed extensions that are not turned on.

The Help says to use the Gear Icon next to the extension. I don't have a Gear icon. I have 3 dots and there is no way to pin/unpin or to change the order the pinned extension appears on the bar. I don't know how to change the order.

Nice-to-have: an option to put all extensions in one place, down the left side panel, rather than split between top and left panel.

By the way, I went to "Show details" below on this entry screen and the system threw out everything. I had to retype it all.

a,most weekly when I try to open a new tab I'm told an update started in the background and I need to restart firefox to continue working. I can't open any new tabs or go to a new website unless I restart. Is there a way to run updates on MY Schedule rather than having this happen. a notice that an update is ready to be installed rather than per-emotively just starting one would be polite and appreciated.. Just 'starting' it in the background without telling me makes you guys look like Microsoft rather than Mozilla.

For the past few weeks I have been having constant crashes in the form of tabs crashing and complete browser crashes. I have tried disabling every single extension, still crash. it even crashes in troubleshoot mode. In fact its crashed while I am writing this. Seriously thinking about giving up entirely on this browser and switching.

I would like to install firefox pc on a windows 11 laptop that already has firefox windows loaded on it, I can not get it to run. I think the installer exe has run and then get a message about windows and try again or ask for support help.

I forgot the primary password on one of my devices, but I still remember the password for my other devices. I want to be able to reset the password on one of the devices, but I am worries that I will lose all of my saved passwords on all of my devices.

Something has happened to Firefox resently. I can't open AARPUNITED HEALTH or E*TRADE. I' been accessing those sites for years but now I can't

 If I go into Firefox Settings, Security,  and delete resent data they will work once.

I am trying to test a site for its existing focus ring styles, but can't see them because firefox's added blue focus ring is covering them up. I also need to be able to see when there is no focus ring added by the site at all.

I have browser.display.show_focus_ring and browser.display.always_show_rings_after_key_focus

both set to false, no profile-wide css, no tampermonkey, or stylus files enabled.

I know that the color contrast is poor, but when testing I'd like to be able to see it without firefox plopping their blue one in the way of a quick visual check.

Firefox is opening comments to youtube shorts in a popup window that covers the video. It should be opening to the side in a panel like on my other computer. I have no addons. I cleared cookies and site data. I made sure I have firefox set to open new web pages in a new tab. Nothing helps

I have added no addon's. I checked plugin's and there are two. Open H264 video codec provided by Cisco and Widevine content description module provided by google. I have no idea what these are or why they are there.
