why firefox needs a Flash plugin to be downloaded and installed separately ?
I have noticed that other browsers e.g. Opera, Chrome have their flash plugins already included (or somehow encompassed in the core).. no need to manually download, install or manually update. Just wonder why this feature isn't included also in Firefox? Wouldn't it be more user friendly ? Might be a further requested feature for developers...
(correction.. neither Opera has it, but Chrome does)

Chrome is actually the only browser that has a built in Flash Plugin, Firefox, Opera, IE, Safari, etc. all need the plugin (and Chrome only did it recently). while this isn't a developer forum, bundling in Flash is probably something that has been discussed, but I would assume the greater liability, security risks, etc. made it an unattractive solution.
Plus, those plugins aren't open source, they would run afoul of Mozilla licensing standards for what can be packaged with Firefox. Plus - plus, including those plugins would immensely increase the size of the Firefox downloaded installer package - like 5 to 10 fold.

Plus one of the main reasons for Chrome updates is for to update the Flash plugin.
