Up until today I could use tabbed browsing. When I go to click on the + sign for a new tab nothing happens. I have gone through everything. Why isn't this working?

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."

Ok I went through the hole procedure and went to add- on, extensions, disabled the ask tool bar and everything started working.

Disabling the Ask toolbar worked for me. Tabbed browsing is now working again.

Running in safe mode worked for me.
