I am having touble moving my firefox profile from my pc to my new mac. Can anyone help with the transition?

I tired coping the profile from my pc and replacing the default profile on the mac. Firefox opens to a basic page and none of my data is there.

Do not copy the whole profile folder, you just need to copy the files shown in the Restore bookmarks, passwords and data from an old Firefox profile article into your current profile folder. As you are using a different operating system, do not copy the mimeTypes.rdf file, that one is dependent on the operating system.
