I installed Firefox's newest version for Mac. Since then, Firefox demands that I create a new profile each time I start the program. It cannot find the profiles created each time I've opened the program.

This can be a problem with the file profiles.ini that Firefox uses to register a (new) profile.

Try to delete or move the file profiles.ini
