Words duplicating, cursor jumping into the middle of words while typing in some fillable fields
I am using Firefox version 151.0.2 on android version 16, but I have been having this issue for months, since before 151.0.1. In some fillable fields on some sites, words duplicate as I type and/or the cursor jumps into the middle of a word. This is most frequently triggered by backspacing but can also happen when using numbers or symbols, such as when filling in a date with slashes or dashes. I've also witnessed it happen seemingly randomly.
Some situations in which this has occurred: -the tag field when creating or reblogging a post on the browser version of tumblr -the birth date field on my state's DMV website when trying to renew my car registration -multiple billing fields when trying to enter card information on a ticket vending site -this text box, the one I'm typing in right now to report this issue. Backspacing and using these dashes for this list both triggered the bug during the course of writing this up.
This has gone from merely irritating to actually being an obstacle (in the DMV example I could not get the field to accept any date format without duplicating and had to use the little popup calendar to select the day instead. What if that had not been a option?). My phone says both its software and Firefox are up to date. What else can I do?

There is a previous thread for Samsung keyboard: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1582547 — does that sound like the same issue?

Interesting - I _am_ using Samsung keyboard. This thread suggests turning off some of the smart typing settings might be a workaround. I already had turned off as many smart typing settings as I could find; writing assist is off, creative studio is disabled, auto replace and auto spellcheck are off, suggest stickers and suggest emojis are off.
I do use some text shortcuts, text prediction, auto capitalize, and the thing where if you double space it auto adds a period. I'll try turning those all off and test it out for a few days and see if it's one of those.
