how come when i startup my firefox while i have firefox home as homepage and a background it flashes?

as soon as i startup firefox it has a quick flash of white before the background image comes up. it happens on new profiles/troubleshooting mode.

i have tried disabling hardware acceleration and it doesnt seem to help.
