I use Firefox for privacy, lack of bloat, and other ethical reasons. For these reasons, I don't want to have the new CEO keep the incorrect idea in his head that the people who use Firefox want AI. Please don't add more AI, if anything--- please remove the AI which has already been added to Firefox which users have to remove themselves. I will dump Firefox if the new CEO continues with this plan.

Thank you for your feedback, we really do appreciate it

Please be assured that Firefox will always remain a browser built around user control. That includes AI with increased user controls being made available in the first quarter of 2026. Choice matters and demonstrating our commitment to choice is how we build and maintain trust.

Firefox cannot both remain a browser built around user control and be a browser with built in ai you have to opt out of.

Not only does that mean that users cannot fully trust that AI is never doing anything with the browser, it means that I cannot choose to download a version of the browser that has no AI support built in whatsoever, I cannot choose to use Firefox without tacitly supporting the AI takeover of the internet that is being aggressively pushed by billionaires and misguided tech bros and which has no actual benefit to the end user, and I cannot fully trust the company as an entity.

I have used Firefox almost exclusively for twenty years, and for the first time, I am seriously considering getting rid of it.
