Multiple deleted sub-folders will not empty out of Local deleted Folder

Graham Gilmore replied

For some reason I now have multiple copies of empty sub-folders in the Deleted Folder of my Local Accounts. I have tried emptying the Deleted Folder and I have tried to manually delete the unwanted sub-folders within the Deleted Folder. I have also noted that one of the unwanted sub-folders has appeared elsewhere in a completely unrelated sub-folder.

How do I deal with this?

You could try repairing the Trash Folder (I assume that this is what you mean by 'Deleted Folder'?). Right click on 'Trash', then 'Properties' and 'Repair'.

Then right click on the folder you wish to delete that's in the Trash folder and select 'Delete'.

Thanks frise, but have tried that many times to no effect.

Well, we could delete the Trash Folder (if that's the one you mean) once TB is closed and get it to regenerate a new one. If you feel up to it. You'd have to be running Windows, and is it POP3 or IMAP (yes, I know it's an offline folder)?

Finally resolved it by going through every subfolder in the Local Folder directory and deleting the .msf and .sbd file for each unwanted folder stuck in both the Deleted and Trash folder. Not sure why I have both Trash and Deleted.

Sorry, that should read Junk not Trash
