Shut down Firefox. Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Note: Check Both Folders

Right click on Firefox.exe and select Properties. Now select Compatibility. Turn Off Run This Program In Compatibility Mode, and Run This Program As An Administrator.

Do the same for any Firefox shortcuts you have. Now restart Firefox.

Still says the same thing and all shortcuts say run as administrator.

Are you using a computer that's provided by your work (office/school)? If your system was borrowed, this could be the case. If not, follow what FredMcD mentioned in his previous comment as that should work for sure. If the problem remains, can you please share more information and some screenshots?

Cheers!

Could you check the Enterprise Policies page: type or paste about:policies in the address bar and press Enter to load it. Does the "Active Policies" section show anything?

It says Disableappupdate true
