When I try to load a page, sometimes Firefox fails to load it. This isn't so bad with clicking a link, since I can just click it again, but when I manually type a URL and it doesn't load, whatever I typed is lost and I have to re-enter it form scratch.

Hello there,

This is probably triggered by corrupt cookies or cache found in your browser. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-your-browsing-history-and-other-personal-dat

You could also reinstall the browser and see if the problem still exists.
